I tuned in to watch the game as a neutral and was pleasantly surprised to see Scally starting. Love to see a kid from Suffolk County playing at the highest level.

 

Scally wins a header, then makes a conservative pass to shake off the nerves. Great pass by Neuhaus two passes later springs behind the defense, but striker passes slightly behind teammate when a shot may have been called for.

 

Scally draws a foul beating his man off of the dribble.

 

Scally matched with Sane and holding OK so far. Tough assignment.

10th minute 1-0 Gladbach lead. Came up the right side, Plea gets fed wide open inside the 18 and places it into the corner past Neuer.

Thx for starting this. Our boy is solid. Bayern still in preseason mode. But Scally with some good D on Sane. Also took a ball up the line leaving Sane and another in the dust. Love his confidence .
