I read an article off of mlsnet.com from a Kansas City Newspaper saying that Joe-Max might be going to the Wizards. What a joke. Joe-Max should come back to New England. Its like when Ante Razov came back no other team fought for him because it was known he is part of the Chicago team and fan base. Same goes for Joe-Max with New England. We love the guy and he better come back to us or else its just another shot at the credibilty of the league.

Maybe KC then trades Joe-Max to the Revs for Twellman? Twellman is a St. Louis, Missouri native who would be much closer to home in KC.

    Just a thought.

I agree that Joe Max-Moore should go to the Revs, but he'll have to start, and I doubt Serna or Twellman will want to play the bench that already features Chacon.

Knowing the revolution and all their "genius" trades, we could probably lose twellman for a warm can of coke.

if its true, this is going to help his career in soccer, i'm sure he will emerge once again as a great forward as he was before he went abroad and BA will certainly well come him back to the US starting line up.

I watched Twellman during the US-El Saslvador game and he obviously was a warm can of coke.

he is probably will start as a sub (super sub) and he'll go from there, if thing goes well he will than become a starter, so they will give serna and Twellman a competition.

Yes, I know that TT went to Germany. I also know that when he signed with MLS he was hoping to play for a midwest team (Chicago or KC) so that he could be closer to his family. He seems quite happy and content in NE, but he might be even happier closer to home.

Like I said, just a thought.

Joe-Max article to Kansas City now on www.Cnnsi.com/soccer/us this is unreal. If he came to NE he could and would either start as the other forward with Twellmen or be our attacking midfielder since we lack one. I know some people are saying what about serna or Hernandez. Serna has to prove himself and isn't of the quality of Moore anyway and Hernandez is a better defensive midfielder and we should put him there. That leave Cullen with no spot but I'm sure we can find him a spot. Imigine Moore and Hernandez in the same midfield. Other teams might actually have to respect our midfield, imgine that!!!!!

no where does it says that joe-max is headin back to mls or playing for KC. All it says is that the KC GM would like to have him on the team. If that is a rumor, then Ronaldo is going to the Revolution and David Beckham is heading to the Burn.

With apologies to Peter King, Five Things I Think I Think:

    1. If the decision were left entirely up to JMM, he would be in the Revolution's opening day lineup.

    2. The decision is not going to be entirely left up to JMM.

    3. If you're keeping track, JMM has lived in Los Angeles, Nuremburg, Boston, and Liverpool since he left Oklahoma to go to college. And where does he choose to spend his off-season? Miami. I'm guessing proximity to his family means next to nothing.

    4. The Revolution might very well be better off without JMM. I don't think he's significantly better than either TNT or Serna, and I have my doubts as to whether or not he's the kind of central midfielder that Stevie Nicol is looking for.

    5. People should stop worrying about Diego Serna, because he's going to be fine.

Mike (or Dan or John or Tony), do you have any idea how Serna's rehab is progressing and if he will be ready to play in late Feb when we have our first Chanpions League match?

Disclaimer: I have no specific knowledge of the state of Serna's knee as of today.

Post: Based on the fact that he showed up to MLS Cup (unannounced I might add) saying he was ready to go if the team needed him, I'm guessing he's...um...ready to go.

The issues with Serna, in my mind, are not physical. He has the type of physique that recovers very quickly from injuries, and the strength to compensate for minor niggles in ways other players can not.

The deal with Serna is: What is the deal with Serna? Is he nuts? Is he immature? Does he have a gang of blackmailing banditos riding his tail back in Colombia? Is anyone in Europe interested in taking this guy on? What are his real options? Does Nicol even want him?

Now I'm sure, if you asked him (I haven't), if he would like Serna as a starting partner for Taylor, Steve would say yes. But privately I would guess that the entire decision making team, including Gulati, Driver and Murphy are questioning whether it makes any sense to bring a crackpot into the dressing room.

I am not at all convinced that Diego will be back with the team this year. I have no information that suggests he won't, but something tells me the Revs attitude is a little bit like Mary J. Blige's...no more drama.

Ah so we plan on having a Zen Soccer Club. Some how i don't see SN and Sunil as Dharma Dudes :)

Thanks for your thoughts John. I'm sure that the next few months will be eventful for many MLS teams with a lot of name players cut/traded and dramatic remakes of core roster for some teams. Fortunately I think the Revs will have a quiet Rev off season for a change. Serna? Cuts/trades? Significant draft day fireworks? Who knows ? My guess is we will start the season with most of last years starters with one or two players traded and maybe one noteable draft pick. Thank the Universe we don't need to do our annual remake.

According to Soccer America's MLS Confidential, Chacon has or will be taking a pay cut and the Revs have not renewed the options on a few players contracts (it did not say who). It looks like the Revs would have the salary cap room for Moore and unless a team in England decides to pick Moore up soon, I think he'll be coming back to MLS.
