    Cool!

Forget that Hoser feller. Let's get someone we know will score in this league.

OK so I have lost track or forgotten. Do we have an allocation available?

Man... I'm really getting sick of "so and so have been rumored to join the Wizards." Having JMM would kick serious ass, but so would having Woolf and Stewart on this team as well.

KC is just a really undesirable place for potential signees, at least it appears that way.

I'm not sure I'm too happy with this prospect. One the plus side, JMM should still be a fairly good player and might help attendance. But we need to be working on our defense and there are probably cheaper players of the same quality.

point out where it says that hes going to the Wizards. This isnt a rumor, this is just a GM saying he wants a very talented player. Now a rumor would be Joe-Max wanting to go to the Revolution (in which he did say that) and Nicol said he would want that type of player on his team.

Well - if anyone wants JMM they are going to have to go through DCU or NY to get him. You are going to need an allocation and those are the only two teams in the league with an allocation.

This would be a bigger mistake than the infamous "Chris Henderson for Roy Lassiter" deal.

Getting JMM is a mistake. Why would we want a has been, injured, player here?

He played 60 games for the Revolution, and scored only 10 goals! He is a forward! That is piss poor production for a supposed "great player".

He works hard, and gets on the end of stuff to get sloppy goals, and he takes free kicks and PK's. Those are his good traits.

His bad traits, he has no real skill, can't take on defenders 1 v 1, has a tendancy (like most US players), to put the easy goal in row 36, upper level. He wants the maximum salary!

    Why tie up that salary!

Bad move CJ, stay away! We can do better with that money, both on and off the field.

    Ummmmm, dude.....

    Check it again..

That would be 37 goals in 77 MLS games for Joe-Max Moore... Slightly better average than the 10 in 60 you suggested...

The 10 goals in "64" leage appearances was for Everton, not for the Revolution. My mistake.

Also, 24 goals in 100 appeareances for the US national team.

Still, MLS has greatly improved since his time here, and I would think it's a big mistake for KC to sign him...at the maximum salary.

If we could get him at around 100,000, then I'd consider it.

I still think we could do better.

I know what you are saying - and i agree to a certain extent. But, having seen him play for the US last year on a few occassions, he is a fighter. We don't ahve a fighter on this team right now.

the vast majority of those 64 appearances for Everton were late in games when they were down, or whatever. The majority of those goals came right after he went there and they had no other strikers and he scored like 7 goals in 10 games or something before the good strikers got healthy again. He can play, but i think we can do better too.

Josh wolff would be nice - but he has a problem staying healthy. I think i would rather see us go younger than older. Third overall means we stand a good chance of getting one of the two hot strikers in the draft. A tall, fast central defender would be nice too.

Hell, I would take Kries just so we wouldn't have to defend against him

I'd think that you could do better than to snag Joe-Max. Is Simukentov or whatever his name on the way out? How about that Argentine fellow?

Igor appears to be more welcome than Dario. I would see him out the door before Igor was pushed out.

If we pick up Joe-Max or Josh Wolff, there's no reason to get rid of either Dario or Igor. Joe-Max and Josh will be gone for stretches during the summer for both the Gold Cup and the Confed Cup. In fact, the USMNT workload this summer may even protect Chris Brown's job. We might actually carry four true forwards this season.

The Guardian includes this notice: ``Joe Max Moore (Kansas City Wizards)'' under the Everton transfer activity in January, just to add to the lack of anything concrete.
Moore always played well enough with Everton, he was just in a situation where he came in with a lower profile than those around him and was never seen as a priority. Remember, he scored six in his first 10 games, and still struggled for a spot on the team after folks got healthy _ even when no one else was scoring at all.
He scored scrappy goals for Everton, and would be a nice replacement for Mo on this squad. He became extra baggage when he was injured this summer and wayne rooney emerged as ready. I will agree that if we have the next wayne rooney waiting to play, we should also pass on Moore. I don't think that's the case, so why not. If mls history holds, he should have another seven productive years in him.

Just curious and I know it probably won't happen, but Is it possible for KC to get both? Will they both fit cap-wise?
