FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Major League Soccer is expected to
announce this week that it has signed Joe-Max Moore to a
contract and will allocate the World Cup star to his old MLS club,
the Revolution. Moore, 31, is available on a free transfer from his
English Premier club Everton, which did not renew his work
permit. Moore confirmed the deal last night after the United
    States-Canada match.

``I've signed the paperwork and the deal is done,'' said Moore,
who added he could not comment officially until the MLS
announcement, but nonetheless told reporters, ``I'm looking
forward to going to back to New England. I hear they have a great
team, and I'm looking forward to joining them.''

Moore left for Everton in 1999 after playing with the Revolution for
three seasons. The fan-favorite striker will join a team stocked
with talent, including Taylor Twellman and Polish international
    Peter Nowak.
