Popular enough at Osnabrück that there is a section of the stadium that carries his name: https://www.vfl.de/nc/verein/stadion/kindertribuene.html
Zwickau right about where one could reasonably hope. One point above relegation although the teams are pretty dense at the bottom. I guess it is a success so far in that the are not last.
Enochs has guided Zwickau up the table to 6th at the moment, although the contours of the table are such that they are close to the the relegation zone (17th) than they are to the playoff spot (3rd). It seems like a solid effort given Zwickau's position. Also, Osnabrück clinched promotion today with four matches left, and could clinch the title next week.
That time he scored a stunner against Bayern Munich: https://www.sportschau.de/sendung/tdm/video-tor-des-monats-september--150.html
Enochs gets a two year extension. https://www.kicker.de/769111/artikel/trainer_joe_enochs_verlaengert_beim_fsv_zwickau
Well the bottom is just aweful. The 3. liga wasnt THAT bad a while ago but jebuuus, the bottom looks like a drunk u12 team. England and others doing a helluva brain drain from germany, i guess. Watch a game sometime on that stream site i posted about.
Zwickau came back from a 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead today but surrendered an 86th minute equalizer. The draw was enough to get them out of the relegation zone on goal difference with 6 games to play in the 3. Liga. Since the restart of play, Zwickau have 5 points from 5 games. @bungadiri @TheFalseNine Joe Enochs: Manager at FSV Zwickau
Enochs and FSV Zwickau, who had won their previous two games, picked up 0-0 draw on the final 3. Liga match day this morning. That result was just enough for FSV Zwickau to finish in 16th and avoid relegation on goal difference by one goal.
Just 'cause maybe we haven't seen a photo of Joe in a while, here's... a photo of Joe. https://www.tag24.de/sport/fussball...wiesbaden-wieder-zwischen-den-pfosten-2193975
He's still the coach at Zwickau who are in 16th place, just a point above the drop zone. They've gone into the drop zone several times while he's been in charge but the club hasn't pulled the trigger on him, doubtless because, since they're one of the the division's poorest sides, just keeping them up counts as a success and Joe has done that for three seasons already so he's as safe as a coach can be. That's the good news. The bad news is that success in at that level doesn't often become a stepping-stone to better gigs.
Maybe this has been mentioned, but this recent (German) press report notes that an Osnabrück stand is named after him. https://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/f....urn-newsml-dpa-com-20090101-220308-99-431368
Out at Zwickau: Jamie Allen @J_AllenWriting FSV Zwickau have sacked head coach Joe Enochs and Sporting Director Toni Wachsmuth. Zwickau are 17th in the 3.Liga with one win in their last five. However, they’re just one point from safety and unbeatable in their last two games. Have Zwickau jumped too soon? #3Liga Johan Gomez & Nico Carrera are at Zwickau right now.
Here's a short (German) item in which he seems to say he's hoping to stay in Germany and perhaps move up a level. https://www-sueddeutsche-de.transla..._sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
Named head coach at Jahn Regensburg. Currently 17th in the 2.Bundesliga, 6 points from safety and 2 shy of the relegation playoff, with 3 matches left to play. They host the teams currently in 2nd and 3rd, and travel to the team in 13th. 538 puts their chances of going down at 68%. Not quite in need of a miracle, but not far from it. https://www.ssv-jahn.de/aktuelles/detail/joe-enochs-wird-neuer-chef-trainer-des-ssv-jahn
At Regensburg-Hamburg today and to my surprise discover Enochs is the coach. Huge game in different directions for both teams.
Grabbed a win: Congratulations to American manager, Sacramento State grad, and 1 #USMNT capper Joe Enochs for his first win in charge of Jahn Regensburg in the 2.Bundesliga https://t.co/wJrfqEqbux— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) May 20, 2023
A point for Bielefeld means that Jahn Regensburg are going down unless they can win and overturn a 15-goal difference on the final day.
Relegated: Despite the win, Joe Enochs and Jahn Regensburg have been relegated. Enochs has only been on the job for 2 games and never had a realistic chance of staying up. It’s about next season in the 3.Liga and bouncing right back up— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) May 20, 2023 Their final match is against FC Heidenheim (and Lennard Maloney) who are looking to lock up promotion.
