The scripted wordmark should've stayed; I'm so glad Nike brought it back, if only for this season. The shield is too Leeds-esque for my liking, the two shades of red is disorienting, the blue borders are unnecessary, and the Clearface Gothic font just looks cheap.

a red cannon on a white back ground would be nice

the all white look on the 125th kit was nice too

I understand the need for the blue border. If everything was red, the shape of the crest would disappear.

Yup! Still one of my favorites. The all white crest even with the branches, looked classic.

I'm not gonna dump my vast O2 shirt collection (2002-06) and now that we know that this is the last year for Nike on their long-term deal as kit manufacturer, I'd better get some more of the back lineup of their Nike strips from after they left O2 at the end of the 2005-06 season, their last at the now-storied Highbury, for Emirates as current shirt sponsor they've put out to date, should I just get the match shirts (home, away, training and maybe the 2012-13 striped away strip too) just for this season, it being the final year of their Nike deal, or should I go ahead and maybe sell some if not all of my Wolfsburg and Seattle Sounders shirts and just simply go "all in" on The Gunners? I know it'll take lots of $$$ to get as many shirts as I can get/import, or should I just keep my Invincibles-era (2002-04) O2 shirts and simply liquidate/sell all the rest of my football shirt collection and get some much-needed $$$ as I am struggling to pay bills and get groceries stocked up on both my tool shelves and my bulk freezer in our garage, need it for the winter.

Poor choice of words; "accents" sounds better to describe the blue parts of the badge. The actual border is gold. As for the shape, I would've rather had something closer to Fulham's shield than the Leeds-lite version we have now.

Just got this today for my daughter. Going to have to complain to WSS because I ordered in May and it just now arrived. She'll get to wear it for maybe a month. Grrr.

What redesigned crest are you all talking about? I'm confused. Is it official? Someone got a pic?

aha. sorry I thought when people were talking about the puma kit and the "new" crest/cannon i jumped to the conclusion that the crest had been redesigned or something. glad to know I was just imagining this.

I paid $50 for it. I thought it was a great deal, didn't think about the size.

So I finally pulled the trigger on a Ramsey Home Kit, and just got it today from WSS. I noticed that the lettering was that vinyl-like material.

Did the EPL stop using that velvety Lextra fabric for the lettering, or did WSS just send me some fake shiz?

Yeah, they did away with the felt stuff this season. There's info a few pages back, I believe.

So now that the announcement has been made publicly, I can proudly say that my agency, JWT, won the PUMA global business.

If I hear anything regarding our kit that doesnt get me fired, I'll be happy to share.
