    From the article:

“I’m working very hard to get back, doing lots and lots of conditioning work,” the Ajax player told Soccer365. “Hopefully if things stay the way they are, I could get back with the team and on the field in a couple of weeks.”

Probably given his history with Achilles injuries, it might be wishful thinking for him to say that he might be back in Ajax's squad of 16 (never mind the first 11) in a fortnight's time.

But man, oh man, here's hoping he proves the doubters wrong. :)

I almost hope they hold of his return until after the Winter break. Let's get him fully healthy again before letting him play.

I also really like this quote

The guy has love for the US game. It's great to read about and I think the MLS and USA Youth would really profit from such a technically skilled baller.

It's funny how O'Brien refers to MLS as "the" MLS...I guess he hasn't learned yet.

It just sounds better with "the".:)

I hope they make him wait until after the break too. I worry about stuff like this and I have a feeling we're going to need him for something.

It would be huge to have him playing in the MLS. Also since his technical skills are so high, I think he would make a great coach when his playing days are done (which is hopefully 10 years off).

Cannot agree more. His first gig will be coach of Ajax Orlando.

I agree that he would probably make a good coach, but yeah lets hope it isn't for several years. I want to enjoy watching him as a player for awhile yet. Plus we need him on the USMNT at this time.
