According to Record, Joao Pinto has signed a contract with Boavista and will be presented at 4pm today. He goes back to where it all started for him. Good luck JVP.

Its official João Pinto signed with Boavista and was presented to the Boavista supporters this afternoon, great player for Boavista.
The possibility of 4 teams fighting for the title this year is closer than ever...

You don't seriously think that João Pinto will make enough difference with Boavista to put them in the running for the championship, do you? He still has some spring in his step and was one of the few bright spots for Sporting when I saw them play in San Jose, but I don't see him being more than just a "good" midfielder for Boavista. It will make the rivalry between Benfica-Boavista and Sporting-Boavista that much more heated, but he can't be the impact player he was three or four years ago.

yeah, i've been doing alot of poking around and it looks like the 4 are gonna have a tough time this year. everyone is getting new signings with pretty good players and it looks like my Sporting will need some help to beat Benfica and Boavista this time around.

meh,. it'll be great to see how things go.

on the topic of pinto, his talents have faded a bit in the recent years but he is still a prominent and experience mid-fielder.
