O'Jogo reports this evening that Estoril and Setubal are asking Sporting to loan out Moutinho to get some 1st team action in January. Sporting seems very interested in doing that as he was very close to making the team as a 17 old year in September. Sporting are looking for him to fill Viana"s shoes once he goes back to Newcastle next year. Does he play as a defensive midfield or is he a palymaker ala Rui Costa.

Moutinho is a playmaker but he reminds me more of Deco as opposed to Rui Costa. The only problem i see with Moutinho is he is very small, not only in stature but in strength

If he is loaned out that would be great for him to get a half-season under his belt with another SuperLiga team. I do see him replacing Viana next season, and he is a more creative player than Viana. A comparison to Deco is not a stretch...hopefully he can continue to develop like him.

With Viana, Mountiho and Marcio Sousa we should be set at playmaker #10 role for a few years
