Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Haha, that even made it to Belgium! Yesterday evening it was shown in a Belgian footballshow and I could barely believe my eyes
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III SkyPerfecTV called today again. They apologized in two languages, and told me to rest assured that all is fixed. I checked, and it seems to be true... They also said they will send me a present to make amend... Victory?
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III source: http://www.the-rising-sun-news.com/jleague/1993.html Is there a youtube (or similar) clip from it?

Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Lol. Ok, I take it back. The referee was obviously an idiot. There is nothing in the Laws about managers taking a shot at goal. And actually, since play was stopped and the ball had left the field of play, it wasn't even "outside interference" (something for which the referee has to stop play and restart with a dropped ball). The referee had the option of laughing it off and restarting as normal but decided to make something up (unless Pixie's recollection is faulty).
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III A new article on JSnet that surely will win me lots of friends among Japanese journalists... http://www.japanesesoccer.net/wordpress/?p=2253
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III I personally think this is a good think. Let the viewer do his own opinion and don't put the doubt on the referee's decisions.
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III I think you have missed the meaning of the article. In the case of the PK on Tamada not only they did not say it was a dive, they said it was a fantastic comeback... So, they did not let the viewer an opinion, they basically said it was a PK... If you have a chance to watch Match of the Day on BBC, you might get an idea on how professionals discuss controversial issues without being vulgar, but also without chickening out...
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Criticizing others causes them to lose face, and we can't have that, now can we? Much better to maintain public harmony and save the honne for the home.
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III I'm going to do my best to stay away from this subject. I'd no doubt cause a stir. Anyone have any good places to see photos of supporter banners/flags/etc? I remember J's Goal had a gate page earlier in the year, but I can't seem to find it, now.
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Speaking of "face," wouldn't it be great if Tamada 747 would once land on his? I believe that certain controversial cases can be faced without pointing the finger too much, but nobody does, and the donkeys keep flying.
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III What? There's no room for discretion on an Internet message board!
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Avoiding it like the plague, I am. Topics like these will never do me any good. Nobody knows any good photo websites (or, if that section of J's Goal is still active, can anyone find it for me)?
Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III Anyone know some links to J-league related manga/comic strips?? (similiar to Run, Run Alcindo!)

Re: Japanese Football Media Thread - part III FYI, this week's Soccer Digest comes with a 132 minutes DVD including all 791 goals of the J1 season, the whole package for an unbelievably cheap 600 yen. The DVD, however, is NTSC, region 2.
