Now that I'm done ranting on other threads, I was wondering if anyone has a status on JMM? I was really looking forward to this season before yesterday. Somebody's got to be able to dig up some info on this...
bump. for those who have heard - a player by player pre-season readieness assesment would be cool. who looks good, who looks like clint mathis, who is the apple of stevie n's eye... who is in the dog house... injured, etc.
Returned to the US to have an MRI on his ankle, from the Revs site. Llamosa injured but expected to play the next match in Costa Rica.
http://www.nerevolution.com/news/press_releases/fullStory_270.asp "The Revolution played without Forward Joe-Max Moore, who returned to the States Friday to have an MRI on his ankle. Carlos Llamosa is nursing and injury and was also absent from the lineup, but is expected to be ready for Wednesday's match. The Revolution is back in action on Wednesday, March 26 against Alajeulense at the same venue." Please, please don't let him be hurt badly.

There's a big ad in March's Soccer New England about Joe-Max appearing at a store opening April 5 from 2-4. Isn't that during their scrimmage in Boston? I wonder whether he's planning on playing that day.
Carlos was on the bench for last night's game, but didn't get in. Pierce stayed in central defense, and Heaps was replaced by the kid Joseph. Don't know if this was because they wanted to give the kid a run out, or because they didn't think Llamosa could go 90, or what. I'm not sure if JMM even made the bench. I tuned in in the middle of the listing of the bench players. I didn't hear his name, but I may just have missed it. Lee
Most likely that was planned before the scrimmage and will be rescheduled. Same issue with the "Meet the coach" thingy.
Don't know what his "knock" was, but it was a soaking wet field, so if it was a hammy or ankle or something like that, might've been best to play it safe.
This is as good of an opportunity to give Joseph some experience as he's going to have for a while. Besides, he played pretty well on Sunday (as did Noonan) and it's worth checking them out in game conditions. BTW, did anyone else notice Marshall Leonard checking into the game? I thought for an instant that TF3 might make an appearance. My son's asked me a few times over the winter if "that guy who never plays" is still on the team, with the invariable follow-up question, "Why?".
I didn't see Leonard, but the announcers kept mentioning Marsha Loonard late in the game. I'm not sure if she's a Breaker that traveled with the team, or what...
