how much richer is villa than the teams in that cup? or crystal palace then whatever terrible team they will win in a 3rd tier euro cup?
I was talking about Emery getting the most out of Durán, not him winning the Europa league with Villa.
he isnt so good and never have been so good....just was a young football with interesting football skills that with discipline could become a good player. but he never have been a relaity or close....his "distinctiveness" wasnt as close as what pino/james/muriel showed when they dbuted...
but montaño and pino actually they showed more skills when they were still promises....like "distintictevens talent"....duran just was decent as youngster in a league with broadcasting media...every year in epl there is a "super youngster"...and not always they become reality. yeah duran would be a good forward..with discpline....but maybe he wouldnt get more even than borre prime (europa league star)....im not saying this to say he is bad...but for example muriel even with his real talent and skills since kid even having good head....wasnt enough to be euro star...even the same duvan and now we are living it with cucho With duran we didnt lose to much really......as people act. he really thinks he was better of what he is...acting as zlatan/balotelli dont really means you were as good as them....yeah he did good marketing being like this....that people tend to think that really had super excepcional talent...
where do u think he will go now? i dont see which euro league would accept him......maybe greece.........and brasilian teams (but doubt he will succed here) honestly i wont surprise if he gest back to colombia soon...
Maybe back to MLS at this point but his wages are a bit out of wack so maybe a loan. Not sure where he will end up. Not sure if the next manager of the Seleccion will care about him. I just think he has way too much talent to be given up on. He is not Morelos.
in mls he would arrive with messi attitude...and that not even worked for james... i really dont think he have earned that special caring of a nt manager not even close...he just spoiled his opportunities when he was in a right place in a right age...
he is priced out of pretty much every league. Even as a free agent his wages are 20m unless somehow his team proves he is a piece of shit and is lying about injuries or another way to terminate him contract without giving him any more money. Even then they burned 70m euros. he is also not going to go from 20m to 1m or less. He just going to wait out his contract. As any team willing to take him on will not pay his full salary and most likely not want to pay a loan fee either. The World Cup was his salvation but he chose to take a 3-4 month vacation in Russia instead of fighting for his spot in Turkey. tho Welcome to Wrexham season 6 .... would be funny if he went there and got ultimate redemption + got them promoted
despite all this money, i can see Duran becoming "MC Hammer broke" as opposed to "Martha Stewart broke" given his decision making...
I read he actually still has plenty of euro interest. We will see. I will probably continue to have hope in him for a little longer
i'm done with Duran...if he proves me wrong, I lose nothing =) I had hope for Sinisterra this past cycle and he proved me wrong in the other direction
Supporting an injury prone colombian is suicidal. That was me with yerry and then he provided nothing but dissapointments
i don't disagree. Sini was in good form/health by the end of the 22 cycle - i recall many of us clamoring for him to be included on the team and it was a too little too late siuation, but the overall sentiment was that he had potential to be a core player this past cycle...
At this point, what team would take him unless he drops Herrera? If he changed managers, I could see Emery taking him back. Villa fans loved him and he was ridiculously efficient and scored historic goals for them in big situations (qualified them for Champions League with two sub goals against Liverpool, and then the wonder goal against Bayern in CL). But I don't see him ever leaving Herrera because he seems more interested in money.
I really like to know this guy's story. There has to be so many things we don't know about him to cause him to be so reckless. Not taking the national team serious is one thing, but club hopping, burning bridges and lack of self control. I think we will find out more in years time but man what a novela.
hopefully Villa Free loan and 70% of salary covered. With a bunch of caveats incase he comes up with his back problems or other BS surrounding him
We cant rely too much responsability to herrera....yes maybes is a bad manager that advise him bad.... But the 80% is his entire responsability Realistacally who? An expensive center forward with bad numbers in the last year and a half...
Maybe some Premier league team that just ascended from the Championship division that is looking to make a splash with a guy who knows the league? (I am reaching here though but it is a hypothetical.)
Two things on Herrera as I'm making a different point than what you are arguing (of course, Duran's behavior is indefensible): 1) After the shenanigans at Rennes during the Asprilla deal and then how terribly Jhon Jader has behaved at Fener and now Zenit, I literally mean that I can't see what team would sit to even talk to Herrera again. 2) As a Villa fan, I 100% blame Herrera for convincing Duran to make that move last winter right after they had just extended his contract and I think their leadership would too. They both made a lot of short term money (and I hope Duran isn't pulling an MC Hammer), but if he had committed Emery was working wonders for his game - he started falling off as soon as he wasn't under his discipline. Night and day. (And back to point 1: if he wasn't with Herrera. I think Emery would take him back).
Yes undoubtly a very bad manager...actually in california by law u cant act as an agent and manager at the same time beacuse of interrst conflict...a manager advise how to handle well your carreer while agent just want to close economic deals....this is the case herrera is just a good agent...but he doesnt care about duran career. but at the same time if duran dont have the ability to comprend what is good for him...is up to him...i higly doubt that at this point if herrera left his situation change
two top colombian prospects will probably never play for us haha Mosquera of Arsenal was too little too late. Guess the U 20 team experience soured his feelings towards us. Then Duran just being a fking idiot that fking hurts almost as much as the falcao 2014 injury. I'm too young to know about Montano at Parma.... but remember Pino. Pino was not scoring howlers on Bayern
Herrera is also the rep of Yaser... seems really greedy for $$ and not caring about the client's career.. a lot of our players come from trauma and difficult backgrounds, guidance is what is needed..
I only agree that he is an stupid...but didnt do nothing really big to consider top prospect... not a the level u are hyping We cant overreacted for a goal in an ucl phase where sherif of moldavia defeat madrid or bodo glimt with random players defeat like every top team they faced.. Osorio botello once scored real madrid... Judging his skills he didnt make me a better impresion of duvan/muriel at 20s...and despite muriel and duvan werent asholles they didnt become super players. Duran was in the right place in the right time and he wasted it...but beyond premier league media hype produce....he wasnt that unique to cry becayse of him...maybe he would have future with discipline....but a LOT OF SKILLS to DEVELOPED...and more in a time that pure "9s" can be prescinded in modern football...
