Wow that was unexpected. Did they really expect them to eliminate Benfica?

Duran vs his old teammates in confederations cup.

Fener and Villa are in Europa, not the Conference league. Slightly better.

And my sense is that Mourinho was being a mega jerk in Turkey - some of the videos posted here from YT of press conferences where he was super condescending about the Turkish league and journalists...and saying he was dissatisfied with the roster when they are spending CRAZY (how?) for him...

Fascinating - all this framing overnight that Duran and Mourinho were at odds over the Special one's recent post match comments, like usual, nonsense.

In maybe first professional thing I have ever seen Duran do on his socials, he thanked Mourinho and complemented him.

Duran has 99 problems but apparently Mou wasn't one...

haha he left Villa to be with Ronaldo ..... didn't last

he went to Turkey to be with Mourinho..... didn't last

hopefully he gets a prenup if he marries a Portuguese chick as that wont last.

would be insane if they send him back to Saudi league and he ends up in another team before the Transfer window ends in 2 days. Conte.... you need a #9 at Napoli Make it happen

He didn't post to thank Villa or Emery or Al Nassr on way out. This is different behavior for him.

We said the same thing about James a few years ago; let's keep as many options as possible and keep it competitive.

Duran is only 21. He has time before we completely disown him.

Yes I want Duran to be humbled some more but I do believe he will be vital come world cup next year.

Not sure about "vital" but I think he can contribute for us. I do not trust Santos Borre or Suarez or any other 9 option.

    I thought so too.

Came out of retirement just for Duran.

Zidane is all business, he can straighten out this clown

Duran better not ******** around with Zidane, he's only coached at Madrid so his expectations and standards are going to be high could be good for Duran if he is willing to work.

Would be kinda ironic if it turns out to be he loves Duran but hated James.

After the Jhon Duran experience he might just end up hating all Colombians in general.

For those of us who thought Duran may have been faking or exaggerating his injury…

…it is being reported by Colombian media that he may be out until at least early October. Maybe even longer.
