It seems harsh but according to the rules the yellow cannot be taken back in that situation. :

Players can celebrate when a goal is scored, but the celebration must not be excessive; choreographed celebrations are not encouraged and must not cause excessive time-wasting. Leaving the field of play to celebrate a goal is not a cautionable [worthy of a yellow card] offence but players should return as soon as possible.
A player must be cautioned, even if the goal is disallowed, for:
Climbing onto a perimeter fence and/or approaching the spectators in a manner which causes safety and/or security issues
Acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way
Covering the head or face with a mask or other similar item
Removing the shirt or covering the head with the shirt

Yes he struck it with golf precision. Lovely curl. I just wonder how many yellows you need to have in CL in order for you to get a suspension. And he got it vs crap opposition. Maybe he'll miss a really important game because of these stupid yellows.

This is where the grey area is because when Duran did it the Ref interpreted as
"approaching the spectators in a manner which causes safety and/or security issues" And also
"Acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way" with opposing fans throwing stuff at him.

When Endrick did it he was joining to celebrate with his own fans so the Ref did not see it as much of security issue.

Many months ago I read an interview with his youth coach at Envigado and he claims that he showed him videos of Suarez and Benzema to learn how to be a striker. I see a little bit of both. More so Suarez in both attitude and style. :ROFLMAO:

Technique like that with all that power at this age is crazy. I was watching a game where he got off a turn and shoot and it went over the bar and the look on the goalies face told the whole story, it was clear when his shot is on frame nobody stopping that.

He moved there as a teenager. Has been there about as (or close to) long as he lived in Argentina I think.

When I was learning German, I paid attention to the way each syllable is pronounced by the locals. I wanted to sound as similar to the locals as possible, he definitely got that spot on.

Cool moment. You could hear Villa Park singing JJDs song asking for him and now since he's come on.

Love how Emery has built JJD into the team strategy. Changes tactics when he comes on and opponents are struggling to cope.

Villa's first goal (to tie the game) came off a JJD hustle play too.
