It will be hilarious if he ends up in Saudi Arabia with Neymar.

    Getting trolled by British press:

At this point - best thing would be a nice loan to a Seria A side. I'd say take a loan to BvB who now have to find a 9 to replace Fullkrug but they'd never deal with his attitude.

He's actually in a worse situation now than what he was last season. If he only is going to play 15 minutes here and there in front of a crowd that see him as a traitor there is no way those offers are coming back next window. I'm sure both chelsea and west ham were willing to sign him if they'd just lowered the price a little. They went back and forth like 10 times so it's not like they didn't want to.

I do think they probably really want to sell him still, they've spent a lot of money and they still want to sign Felix plus Duran has made his intentions clear. At the same time playing champions league will have more minutes but Emery loves to ride Watkins. No matter how it goes this was really dumb from Duran, he might get away with it because he's young but other teams are going to look at his behavior and hesitate to spend up on him because he's now a risk to have in your squad.

Truth be told I can understand if Duran had been a Villa player since his youth and been playing for years in their line-up and was heading to a big rival (ala Birmingham City), they would see that as unforgivable. But I think they'll get over this one quickly and they know he's still a young guy. But he does need to learn from these moments.

He starts to score and all will be forgiven

he plays like shit then yea more shit will be thrown his way for being a d bag

but yea fans can’t be angry for a player in a mid table team excited to go to AC Milan, Chelsea

tho him wanting to ditch them for a crap team like west ham was probably too much of a kick to the face

hope he has a top season and is forgiven since he is the clearest path to no more Borre

I think they could obviously keep him. I just don't think they have enough money to be patient with a guy who could rock the boat when you have a very good striker in his prime taking all of the minutes. It's a risk because he'll be on the bench and unhappy if he stays and they want to win now that they are back in the champions league. So the math and situation still smells like a transfer is likely and smart for all parties, but lets see there could be an injury and plenty of minutes to fight for that he can get.

The market is also scarce of good strikers. He will get a chance

but if Villa don’t value him, they need to lower the price a bit

They should loan him somewhere he will play with options. His agent has allowed him to become a laughing stock.

Villa still need a standby. Maybe they were just testing the market's appetite. I don't want to like Watkins but he's been a very dependable striker for years and with little injury to boot. But he'll turn 29 this year so he's at the peak of his career. Meanwhile Duran is 20. Let me say that again, 20! It's the typical impatience you see from young guys that just think they're so ready and feel they belong in the spotlight. And maybe Duran does. But he still has so much to work on and mature. What's the rush? Villa took a gamble signing him from THE MLS. Now Duran, has to feel the same. Have patience. Learn from the best and wait your time.

How many 20 y.o. in your company feel they can do what you do? Probably all. But how many can actually do what you do and stick it out, good and bad and everything that comes with it.

All this to say. He should stay, learn his lesson, be ready when the moment comes and earn his spot.

he scores 10+ goals this season all will be forgiven by the fan base. He has to deliver tho they wanted 30m for him and they dropped 18m

hope we have a lot of big seasons in the EPL this year. Maybe better English teams than Watford will be raiding the league

I think honestly you are right that Ollie is at his peak and having led the premiere league in goals+assists last year - this is his moment.

However, JJD showed in the limited minutes he had last year that he can be very effective at the highest level and his ceiling is crazy. Particularly given Ollie's success, and importance of grooming an heir apparent, I think (as a long standing Villa fan - I am literally wearing the 24/25 kit as I type this) we should loan him somewhere he can start and shine. If he crushes it - you make a huge sale and profit. If Ollie gets hurt you can recall JJD to play in Prem and CL. Everyone wins.

Believe it was 18M DOLLARS and Villa want 40M Pound Sterling.

That's what happens when you have the best scoring rate per minute as a sub in the premiere league and score against Liverpool and City.

Official that they have given Duran the #9 at Villa. They must really believe in him to commit this hard after his antics.

This is going to be awkward.

Whatever happens It will be interesting to see. I wonder if Fullkrug is going to start for WH. I hope Duran can start scoring and they can put all this behind them. But if Enzo managed to get back anyone can. :)

Villa striker situation is a total question mark for tmrw. Duran just got their last week and Ollie a few days ago.

Possible neither plays or both or anything since neither is match fit.
