Hope he keeps it up. We need all the Target men #9 candidates to get hot these next three months leading into qualifying.
He is starting to heat up on that aforementioned streak. If he can keep it up for a few more weeks he could be called up for Venezuela and Chile in March. After Duvan he is or most physical striker candidate up front.
Yup. I think he is basically asking Queiroz to call him up in March. With actions which speak louder than words. Hope he keeps up the hot streak.
Another goal for Cordoba. It was a pretty easy tap in off a rebound but hey, it is another goal to add to his tally and keep him relatively hot the last few months.
start? Only guy actually scoring other than Borre. Tho I can’t see us changing all our guys up top even tho they are all in bad form or not playing. roger getting called up or starting over Diaz would make me put a hit out on the coach
Too risky to start a guy who has never been to a training camp at the Senior Level. But if Duvan is not healthy and playing at half speed as he has lately... ... I would consider Cordoba getting lots of playing time off the bench to spell him. As for today he was a monster as per usual. Had two goals and had a one-on-one with the Keeper and instead of shooting he passed it to his teammate for a nice assist.
I've always liked the dude's game, yet I've always felt he was just short of the NT. He's heating up at the right moment, but I just don't know whether he could carry that over to the kind of pressure situation that is the qualifiers. It's the consistency that concerns me. When he's on he's on, when he's off he's cold. He started this season ice cold. And this was right after the best season of his career. I think going back to first division futbol was a bit of a shock to the system, and now he's turning it around. I sense he might need a bit of time to fully transition to NT futbol... That said, with Duvan's delayed recuperation, Cordoba may be the perfect guy for Quieroz' system. Dude shrugs off defenders like Duvan does, but he's also lightning quick on counters.

It has taken a while for him to live up to expectations. And quite frankly... ... he was hyped up to be the "Colombian Drogba" so he will never, ever live up to those lofty expectations. However, he is playing about as well as any Hold up play/ Target striker #9 in our player pool and does have the attributes that would seem to do well in a Queiroz system. I hope he is rewarded for his play and gets a chance. Many of the inconsistencies and streaky characteristics said about him can be said about most of the strikers on the National Team radar.
His team scored a third off a keeping error. I am going to give Cordoba credit because the poor keeper probably heard his footsteps and lost concentration.
