Wolves are pretty huge favorites to get relegated unfortunately, I hope Arias has a relegation release clause because it looks really grim.

and the teams that were promoted are looking competitive unlike previous seasons.

too many of Wolves players are trash.

Yeah and the teams close and just above them like West Ham and Nottingham forrest have much better squads and are likely to pick up points. It's a worst case scenario for Wolves the teams they are comparable to are way outperforming and the teams a tier above them they they'd hope to pass are not likely to keep the same poor pace.

He took Wolves to lock in the move, but man that has blown up on him. He is clearly their best player on the field and his coach is just not making best use of him.

    Meh

performing players on demotion teams usually get moved to another promoted team or mid table team

they find a way to stay at the top flight. He just has to perform

didnt watch today's match but it's still too early to tell. And while I've seen Arias starting to make more contributions he is NOT a game changer or taking on enough responsibility. We forget he's still months into a new team, new culture, etc. He will do better, BUT he has A LOT to perform better in THIS team. It's a pipedream to think he's making some type of difference at the moment. Much like our NT, we need him to step up!

They don't play through him enough which is frustrating because he is very effective... But they waste a ton of possession...

Wolves last season put up an xG of 45.37 and scored 54 goals from that, by far the biggest outperformance in the league and largely down to Cunha going mental outperforming his goal expectation. It was almost double the outperformance of the next closest team, Nottingham Forrest, Wolves then sold their 2 best attacking players, its not really surprising that they can't recreate that and having a manager that is willing to set up to have relegation level chance creation while taking out you chief creator and goal scorer is a recipe for disaster, Arias is one who mainly creates for others and there just isn't many other people there to do that for.

They made a comeback from 0-2 to lose it at the very end again. Arias had a nice chance thru a free kick but other than that this team sees no improvement

He was arguably the best player in South America, but a nice nod for him and well deserved.

Mier won the award for best Mexican Keeper last season. He also was a major reason why Cruz Azul won the CONCACAF Championship.

Those are probably the main reasons why.
