I think we all can agree that he should be phased out soon.
That said, you know I am going to say that he also adds a veteran presence and leadership quality as one of our captains so it is not easy to stray away from that if he is good in the locker room.

Played very well. Hit the post a couple of times.
I hope he does well against Man City and every team in Europe will be interested in him.
(Just do not want him anywhere near the Premier League.)

I always get shocked when the Brazilian teams let their foreigners take the PK. The score was 0-0 at the time. I'm guessing they have total faith in Arias. Great for him! He's done everything they ask of him.

Agreed , but damn this guy was amazing for 3 seasons straight in Brazil!!!! Why does it take him having a good game against city for him to even get a peek at ? There’s kids from England/Brazil/Spain/Argentina that play 2 professional games and already are named the next big thing . It is what it is I guess . Could be shitty representatives and I get those countries I’ve mentioned won world cups and produced a lot of stars but there’s talent every where and if there’s one Colombian that deserves to be respected internationally atm is arias . Like I said this guy is criminally underrated.

It could be many things but it may be partially his decision to just stay.
He seems to be a loyal guy and it seemed like he wanted to stay at Fluminense and it payed off by winning the biggest tournament they could win in South America.

Andre has a lot of eyes on him and Arias as well, even though Andre is much more talked about all those eyes on that team and you can bet that Arias has opportunities as good as he's played with them and us. I think both of them agreed to stay for Libertadores run till January and that looks great on them and the opportunity will be there all depends on his agents. tbh since most of our players have terrible agents that don't get them through enough doors like Argies and Brazilians do, but I think he's such a good talent it would be crazy that he wouldn't go somewhere as a guy who can play basically every position across midfield from 8 to 10 to on both wings.

the only real man city fans live in Manchester. They are not a marketable team like United

their fans are the ones who have grown up living with all the crap they've been through all these years

despite the result, this is really fun to watch. Flu had a spell where they managed to strip possession of the ball and maintain control but the way that Flu are positioned defensively make it so that they cannot always have many players during attacking phases of the game.

the goals have come from a combination of mistakes triggered by Man City's extremely aggressive press.

Arias doing his thing but mainly isolated up front and cannot find a teammate to link up with so he just runs into a blind alley as he is usually surrounded by City players.

I love Guardiola and this City team so I am happy regardless but of course will always root for the south american side. Im sure you all have seen this but this will be the final CWC with the current format. Next ones will have loads of teams, sadly since most teams are crap right now, I think it will pretty much be exclusively brazilians who will play for the south american sides
