I had forgot about this guy. Parma will probably be in Serie B next season but at least he will get some minutes in Serie A. http://elpueblo.com.co/jherson-vergara-es-el-nuevo-jugador-del-parma/
Bump His team lost In the knockout round chance to make 1st division. He is still owned by AC Milan Anyone watch him play?
good he needs to adapt to Italy and be a starter. Kid is still young just needs to stay healthy and get confidence. Right now we have a decent amount of Cbs but he is def one to keep watching
Have to hope he can be like Murillo who earned his stripes in the second division of Spain for a number of years.
He was called into the Sub 23 camp Pepino posted in the Olympic thread. Let's see if he can make the squad for the CONCACAF playoff in the spring. He was pretty good in the Sub 20 World Cup in 2013 and had some good leadership qualities if I remember correctly. He also tried to score goals when the going got tough.
He had two big injuries since going to Italy. Think a shoulder when at Parma and when in 2nd divison he had another one but actually played for the 2nd división team
http://comutricolor.com/jugador-colombiano-regresa-milan/ So he's returning with the coach of Milan claiming that he feels that Vegara is ready to be on the first team. Likely the bench but it's a start.
Pues jugo mas de 20 partidos como titular (24 creo), a mitad de temporada se lesiono por un par de meses y perdio su puesto y al final lo volvio a recuperar a medias..
He did literally the exact same thing in one of his first friendlies for Milan years ago. He was really promising when he was young...
If AC Milan didn't loan him out yet then he going to hopefully get minutes. Has to be nerve racking to play on such a big team. Hope he becomes a good CB but isn't he Murillos age?
Nah, Jherson is a couple years younger. In a team where Zapata often struggles to get playing time, I don't see Vergara getting many minutes. It most definitely is nerve racking. But why make such a risky play like that when you've got so much on the line?
He was arguably Colombia's best in sub 17. I thought he was pretty good for the sub 20. He and Aguilar made a great combo in 2013. Vergra's problem, in my eyes, is he spends too much time trying to be Lucio. He's got ability in his feet many CBs don't have. But he wastes time trying to look fancy and ends up making silly mistakes in defense.
bump he is at AC milan after his loan from Russia but dont think they have registered him. Kind of weird to not even send him out on loan. Any news on him?
