    Good to hear:

“My first choice is the USA,” he said. “I’ll go for the USA if there is a chance.”

    So Tom writes that:

Jesus Vazquez [DMN: Note spelling of last name] was born and raised in the Paramount area of Los Angeles, California
And T-Markt says he was born:

Oct 23, 1994 in Puerto Peñasco [IMG]

The club's web site isn't much help:

    http://leonesnegrosudg.mx/plantilla.html

    Femexfut says Mexico.

    So, who's right?

@bungadiri - Please correct the spelling of the last name in the thread title from Vasquez to Vazquez (particularly since we already have a Jesus Vasquez).

Hey, that's were I used to live. I'm from Long Beach but we stayed in Paramount for a bit.

Im a Xolos fan and Vazquez started and played 90 minutes in a game Xolos won 1-0.

He looks like a very good player, very technical but also very direct. Really attacking but never loses the ball.

He had a couple skill checks, drove the team in the last 20 minutes looking for the goal. No end product but its clear he is a good player and expresses himself well.

Plays absolutely no defense, as is customary for #10's in Liga MX. Looked like he had a good motor but dropped to pick up possession, not to track back.

Without Fidel Martinez playing he was short of options around him but still looked good. Chuy was playing directly against Guemez, who will probably play for El Tri, and really came into the game and held his own.

70' vs America. Espn tracker credits him with the assist on the winner, but I couldn't find any conclusive video. Also picked up a yellow.

FYI, he didn't start. The midfielder Vazquez was another guy named Fidel Vazquez.

How many guys named Vazquez do they have on this roster? It's hard enough to keep the "Jesus Vazquezes" on different teams straight. :)

Jesus Vazquez was back in the starting lineup as UdG posted a huge 2-1 win over Tigres. All of a sudden, they seem to have a real chance at surviving for another year in Liga MX.

    Subbed out at 56'.

It's remarkable, and UdG held on for another 1-0 win, too. All of a sudden, they've cleared the relegation zone.

Came in on the 57th minute of a 0-1 loss to Chiapas. Saw about 20 minutes of him and liked what I saw. Played with a sense of urgency, had good movement and ball control. Seems to be a technical player. Would be nice if he go called up for the U-23s tomorrow.
