I believe CSD said the shorts will remain red. It's better than the white jersey, but I still like the 2006 jersey better.

It's actually not that bad keep in mind this is a really blurry pic. My only complait would be that the Crest should of been wrapped in Gold and not Green. But I did see a new red Portugal ball with the crest in green so I would say it's safe to say this is just may be the new kit and It looks ok and will Look better to everyone when we get a cleaner pic, and it will Look amazing with Ronaldo running around in after a goal But to be Sure can someone wake up CSD and get him to have a look.
maybe, this is the first leaked photo and the game is a week away. Although you never know usually the new jerseys are worn for the pre tournament friendlies. Nike has done a great job of keeping the shirts under wraps so we have less time to wonder when the jersey will be worn (I believe they were still in WC Qualifying when the first pics of the 06 jerseys came out). If not for Italy then I would believe by the Mexico game for sure because the Jerseys go on sale April 1st.
from this pic, the only thing I like about it is the colour - thats a good shade of red for our seleccao team but we all know wc 2010 jerseys will be maroon again.. thats the pattern nike follows switching between red and maroon and switching our shorts
also, look at that gold nike symbol if the numbers are gold on the back like that it would look bad ass with RONALDO (hopefully) 7.
I think the nicest jerseys we ever had was those nice and plain Olympic ones BEFORE Euro 96, the Euro 200 ones weren't bad either.
the FPF needs balls to tell Nike to bring back the green shorts. We need a petition or somethings, this is ridicolous. PS the best jersey by far is the '04.
those red with green sleeve olypics were beautiful even the black font was class...and the Euro 04 (minus the circle) IMO opinion were the best. However the Maroon Olympic Jersey with the big faded in Portugal crest were also awesome....and the 66 sweater (which I have)
I agree with the 96 euro jersey, it was classy. My favorite Nike Portugal jerseys though are the 2006 ones, followed by the 1997 and Euro 2000 jerseys.
From what I recall this looks like the real jersey... and for all those that say it looks nasty, I say just wait until you see it in front of you: it's really nice and the red on this picture does not do the new jersey any justice. It's my favorite red of all time on a Portugal NT jersey!
Portugal always seems to be the last country to show their jersies whenever I check jersey threads on multiple forums every country's shirt is shown first with good pictures. our first glipse at the shirt comes so late, with a crappy pic on some grimey coat hanger
It makes it more mysterious and coveted, but I will reserve my judgement untill I see Ronaldo scoring a goal against Italy with the new jersey on! I think the crest should have been surrounded with gold rather than green. It would balance out the gold nike symbol and make the crest "pop"
In my opinion this was one of the vey best Portugal shirts by Nike ever, using all colors of the Flag, Red and Green, but with the Yellow outline between them, just made it stand out. Perhaps Nike should go back to something similar to this design, but with a different collar. I love this years shirt from what i've seen so far, but a yellow trim between the red and the green would just blow this shirt right thorugh the goal Net! Either way, "todos os caminhos levao Portugal a serem Campeoes"! As for the shade of Red or Burgundy or Marron, I dont care if portugal wears Pink, just as long as the championship comes home!
