Great, I dread seeing official looking snail mail with their logo on it, and now they'll be on the 'Quakes jerseys. Should make for some great joke fodder should their season need to "head for the ER"!
If Sutter Health can afford to sponsor a jersey, then why are the premiums, co-pays and deductibles so high?
Starbucks is big there too but I don't expect them to sponsor our jersey either. And Colorado is the last team we should point to as an example. "Sutter Health: At Least It's Not A Ponzi Scheme!"
Couldn't the mock-up's creator at least use a San Jose Earthquakes primary jersey from 2015 rather than from 2014? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I only care about the money. Before heaping praises or talking trash, let's wait for the money amount. Other than that, I would like to thank God that it aint' Bimbo and Amway or some trickster drinks company.

Curios as to how the rest of the world (ie those with nationalized health care) view this. Health Care being advertized like airlines, tires and gambling websites ... I like Sac Republics sponsor better. UC Davis Children's Hospital.
As one who takes momma to many appointments for many conditions to Palo Alto Medical Foundation (Sutter Health) locations, thumbs up on this! Have had nothing but good experiences with them.
If folks think a kit sponsor is necessary because of the revenue, fine. If you think that it's necessary to be "with it" and a "real club", I think that's stupid. This is America, and not everything in MLS needs to be done in a way that mimics other soccer leagues. I for one can do without having a corporate logo on the jersey that is 10 times larger than the team logo. Multiple premier league teams have betting sites as sponsors, or have jerseys plastered with Asian language characters, and the jerseys don't look any better for it. It certainly doesn't make me think any more of the teams. Did we really like walking around as Amway billboards?! I guess it's the world we live in, though.
Palo Alto Medical Foundation is all good. Nice choice, guys! Now can we get a rebate on our CT scans?
I doubt they will announce the exact money amount. It will be some sort of estimate. Our Amway deal was one of the better financial deals among jersey sponsors in the league, but I don't think they ever said exactly how much it was. Anyway, a respectable sponsor, more money coming into the team. This is a win. Go Quakes!! - Mark
Well, with Amway, we got paid, but how much depended on us securing another sponsorship deal for Amway, and then that business securing another sponsorship deal for Amway, and then that business securing another sponsorship deal for Amway...
In theory we should not be concerned about the revenue either, since it isn't our money. So I guess, yeah, I don't see the great attraction. There is this idea that if the club has more revenue then they will pour more if it back into the club that wouldn't have otherwise been "poured". But there are many ways to acquire revenue.
I don't hate them as much as I hate Kaiser, so that's good, but the consensus is the quality of service at the Palo Alto clinic has plummeted since Sutter came to town. Hope the same doesn't happen with our team; we don't have as far to fall.
