    Interesting.
So even if he had never gotten injured last summer, he wouldn't have played for us in the Hex.

Does anyone think that the Charlie Davies accident might make it far more difficult for Jones and Castillo to become accepted by the USA team?

The players are obviously professionals, and would want to improve the team.

But that was such an incredible emotional experience the team went through last week.

I really wonder what it will be like for an outsider to attempt to come in and unseat Rico Clark or Jonathan Bornstein right now?

It's going to be harder than the usual "hi, I'm the new guy".

Well for Jermain Jones once he gets in the other teams face and scares them for trying to mess with our players...........eveybody well accept him;). The only possible issue would be what happens if Jones yells at Michael Bradley for making dumb mistakes? ooo boy:D.

^I like this better. Drop it likes it's hot all over the pitch, then kick it at Bob Bradley! :D

Oh, and this is great news. :)

Now that we actually have Jones, it would be nice to see the US try and play a box midfield.

Jermaine Jones is to defense as Landon Donovan is to offense.

Get healed up, start integrating into the team starting in 2010, start at DM in the first game of the World Cup.

    B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Now that this is official, we are all assuming that he is going to be put in without question. How many times have we all scratched our heads at some of the decisions that Bob Bradley makes. Especially with regard to who he starts and subs in. Keep in mind Herr Jones has not played in a while, much less in an international. Even when he did play some international games it was not very often. While I am excited to have him, I am seriously not counting my chicks before they are hatched.

Bradley is going to give this guy a real shot in the March friendly. No question about it. When you read between the lines on Bradley's statements regarding Jones, you will understand that Bob is really exceited about Jones.

Jones is the ideal Bradley player.

Things are really going to get crazy if Jones picks up a minor injury ahead of the March game. He needs to play that game to really have a shot at the World Cup.

Yes, I think this would be a problem if this were high school girls' soccer. These guys want to make a good showing at the WORLD FREAKIN CUP! I don't think the threat of Jones taking one of their boyfriends to the homecoming dance, or wearing the same outfit at the lunch table will be much of an issue here.

there is the little matter of how good he is and how he blends with the team. On the one hand he is an important player for Schalke. On the other hand, he could not get a sniff for Germany. Is he better than Clark or Edu? He might be but I would not assume that.
