I would hate to be playing Sweden and needing more than a point. They are gritty.

That would permanently cap tie him to Sweden. Done and dusted.

He was already cap-tied to Sweden. He played a Nations League match in November, 2020. He was already 21 and the match was played after the new regs came into effect. So he didn't have a way to do a switch after that point.

    Highlights :

    2nd leg:

FC Midtjylland (Den) vs Celtic (Sco), 2-1 AET (agg: 3-2)
    0-1 Callum McGregor (48')

    2-1 Raphael Nwadike (94')
    Allowed attendance : 4,000

    Line-up's and stats :
    https://www.transfermarkt.com/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3584561

    Highlights .

Midtjylland are in the same kind of transition as Celtic at the moment with a new but highly positive and energetic coach getting his debut, and they have also changed 1st keeper and after they played Champions League last season, they have lost their key CB Alexander Scholz and sold key central midfielder Frank Onyeka to Brentford just before the first leg of this tie, not to forget that their highly rated creative Denmark U-21 NT winger Gustav Isaksen is injured, and their top scorer from last season Sory Kaba has done a "Haji Wright" and placed himself on the sales list in this transfer window by simply refusing to play.

If you have found it strange that the Swedish-American Euro-20 midfielder Jens Cajuste has not even been in the squad for the CL qualifeirs vs. Celtic then it's because they are on the brink of selling him to either Brentford, Rennes or another English PL side, so for that reason he has not been playing for them either. So FCM are actually very far from where they want to be right now in compare with last season.

Midtjylland have signed the two Brazilians, Juninho (from Palmeiras) and Charles (from Ceará SC) earlier this month, to make up for some of the loss, but not quite in time for them to be able to make a difference at this point, so the only genuine reinforcement they have been fielding vs Celtic, is the Denmark NT right back/midfielder Henrik Dalsgaard, who they signed earlier this month from Brentford. never the less, they managed to progress, by finishing this 2nd leg with no less than 8 players developed by their own Academy.

FCM are now sure to either qualify for the Champions League group stage or go straight to the Europa League group stage if they lose their next CL 3rd qualifying round tie vs. PSV Eindhoven. So there will be no Europa League play-off for Midtjylland, if they lose vs. PSV, because they are not Danish Champions, but in the League Path of the Champions League.

Looks like he is staying at the club, despite a lot of transfer rumors. I don't think he's appeared in the league this season.

Cajuste stays in @fcmidtjylland is confirmed! The biggest "problem" with that news is not the missed one #FCM income, but that Evander, Cajuste and Onyedika now have to fight for 2 places, and that Onyedika in its 11 matches so far has proved WAY too good to sit on the bench in #sldk

    On the bench:

Interesting that he keeps getting called up by Sweden (was called up for the November WCQs), but is getting no playing time with his club. Not including today, he has made 3 appearances in the league this season (only one more than a half) & wasn't in the squad in the other 4 matches he was available since his injury.

He has had 3 Europa League appearances -- the longest 62'. He's had 4 appearances for the NT since this summer, though 2 have been token minutes.
