His coach said he's the best one v one player in the PL....He might be a bit trigger happy with that comment, but with a few more performances like he's had (and if he can bag a few goals along the way) I think we'll all be pretty receptive to believing it. The guy is definitely showing up, though!

Let's give him half a season before hyping him up. It's only been 2 games guys.

True. Only two games but he is our only star player now =( we have no one else that is making headlines outside of Ecuador. Valencia is bench warmer now and won't switch teams. We literally have no one else than Montero right now.

C'mon guys we all know Montero has been excellent for years now. He should have been in England 2-3 years ago and by now he'd be on a Champions League team. He was disappointing at the World Cup but in his defense he spent a lot of the season in Mexico injured because the only way they could stop him in Mexico was by putting 3 guys to kick him every game. He was always too much for the Mexican league.

Remember he's the main reason we qualified for Brazil 2014, his goals and assists were what got us there.

My point is finally the world is seeing him, and I'm glad it's not too late. He was also very good last season but he was new so the coach was smart to let him adjust. Now he's literally one of the most feared attackers in England, and if he keeps it up then he will end up playing Champions League after the January transfer window. He's better than Valencia, he can shoot and cross with both legs, and he's more aggressive.

He was crap for like 6 months last year. Don't remember exactly, Mexicans have new champions every 3 months or so. Don't remember every season.

Another good game by montero. The Sunderland right back had to pull Monteros Jersey to stop him. I think he would have got an assist if Gomis and Ayew stop bumping into each. Montero almost drew a penalty as well but he was fouled on the line. Man he could've had an assist and drawn a penalty today but ohh well that wouldve surely gotten him a 3 MOTM award. Overall very professional game by Montero

Montero didn't play yesterday game vs Manchester United. He is injured, official club site said thigh strain. Generally you are out up to 4 weeks with first grade of thigh strain, but Monk said it's nothing serious, just a little bit of soreness and tightness. Don't know if he will play our friendly game but my opinion is he won't. He had a problems with thigh strain before, so he is not going to risk

He's tweeted photos of him on a plane with his Ecuador team mates, so presumably the injury isn't at all serious and he's all set to at least feature in the friendly against Honduras.

What the hell happened to Montero? Dude started strong now he's relegated to the bench and rumored to transfer to second division team.

Swansea has had 3 different managers within the past 3 months (something along those lines) He is still the same player who tore up right backs throughout the Premier league! It's hard to say..... Maybe Guidolin doesn't like him (things we don't know).

He just needs to keep performing at a high level. That will make the coach have an incentive to keep him around.
