If we're talking about being in form, I feel he can be our new "Roca" in MF. He covers the field very well and always seems to be in the right place. He has to work on his shooting accuracy because it's abysmal but once he fine tunes that piece of his game he will be a legit world star.

Lerma can shoot and pass >>>>> better then whatever the fk “la roca offered”

Hopefully he doesn’t get a red card and 2pks in 3 games at the most important time in our history.... so don’t put that evil on him

awesome, that's a part of his game that needs huge help...his positioning as a DMF is one of the best I've ever seen so he gets tons of chances but normally hits it so poorly.

LMAO what happened to "if they don't do it in yellow I don't care". Barrios is hands down the better player, Lerma played that game with essentially 3 defensive midfielers in a game they set up to defend the whole game. That's a great set up for him, but for the 100th time he's not particularly great at playing as the sole CDM which is how we tend to play with our attacking midfielders. Lerma is a good player, he needs freedom to roam a bit more and effect the game in different spaces which is why he's thrived in 4-4-2's were he's got more freedom positionally.

The nt needs to play a formation they can use their best players

playing 2 cbs as wingbacks and 2 strikers as wingers really isn’t that

let’s see what happens with a healthy James and Quintero.

Which has nothing to do with Lerma. LOL at even alluding to changing the formation to fit Lerma. Look Lerma is a good player, Barrios is by far better and in games where we want to be more defensive playing Lerma as a destroyer 8 is perfectly fine, but even watching those highlights from that game he didn't even do that much impressive stuff, he got an assist from winning a header and played well but its not like he did stuff that is amazing. It was his type of game where they set up with 3 midfielders designed to muck up the play, we shouldn't be doing that often but when we do he's the guy. Also he gets yellow cards like they're candy, in South America going in like he does will be a big danger if we had to rely on him every game.

Sent off for two yellows, the first was fine but the second was absolutely not a yellow. His team held on to win and he almost scored a blinder from outside the box just scraping the bar.
