Nice stuff, and I'll take his prediction for this series.

He mentioned the Lewis-Donovan goal and now I keep seeing it replay in my head. That was an absolutely gorgeous goal...*sigh*...bliss...

No, I think Clint's was coolest the goal. The shot is engraved in my brain, just beautiful. It was the best goal I saw from the whole nat'l team during the world cup.

megs2, there was more than one beautiful goal. I don't think elainemichelle was comparing them.

But if you want to name the most beautiful goal, the Reyna to Wolfe to McBride game-winner v. Mexico is one of the all time greatest USA goals... as is the Sanneh-to-McBride game winner v. Portugal.

Mathis' goal was fantastic, but I put it at least 3rd in the beauty contest. Luckily, we had more than our usual share of great goals.

All of our goals were beautiful because they were American goals made by the best team the USA has had. Just being OUR goals made them beautiful. But that one was my favorite because after that goal I KNEW we had won. Just that feeling, you know?
