Jeff Agoos is the worst pro I have ever seen.. In the world cup only 1 or 2 goals were not his fault. All of the others were. I was embarassed as an American. He's decent to good with the Quakes but that proformance was pathetic at the World Cup. Experienced players like him are supposed to step up. His injury was the best thing he did at the World Cup.

I'm always hard on Agoos, but this year he has played pretty well, he even scored a nice one on the Crew from about 25-28 yards, but i agree his WC was horrible.

There's no denying that Agoos was crap in Korea, and Arena made a mistake in sticking with him too long. He couldn't handle the speed and quality at the highest level.

BUT cleary, he's still a solid contributor at the MLS level and I believe US wouldn't have qualified for the WC Finals without him. At the very least, he is/was a capable defender against CONCACAF competition. That's more than can be said for a lot of American players.

Watching Agoos suffer an injury for pitiful mistakes was beautiful, wasn't it?
