Ittihad Jeddah “Jeddah United” won the ACL semi-final 4-3 on aggregate against a tough opponent (chonbuk). Maybe we are not lucky because we don’t have any tv network broadcasting the K-League. We have seen the tactics of both teams playing for the Korean flag. But here is a question for you, which team is to be considered stronger than the other and in what way?
    :) ;)

    Hmmm, a difficult question.

Seongnam made a lot of changes for the 2004 season, and changed things again in the summer when they had a disappointing K-League 1st stage. They won the Mazda A3 tournament though, and also the summer Hauzen Cup competition and are now in the final of the Asian Champions League so their cup form has been better than their league form.
Having said that they've made a bit of a comeback in the league and are still in with a chance of defending their league title (it would be four in a row if they did it) but that's not too likely.

Cheonbuk currently have the 3rd best overall league record but have hit a rough patch of form recently... they were looking good to have secured the play-off spot by now but then they started to fall away.
Seongnam won the recent league match between the sides 1-0, but Cheonbuk won the previous league fixture 2-0, the Super Cup 2-0 and the Hauzen Cup game 2-1.

Seongnam have, in theory, a fantastic strike force with Kim Do-hoon, Lee Song-nam (aka Denis Laktionov), Marcelo Macedo and Dudu all a decent goal threat. Shin Tae-yong, Lee Ki-hyung and Jasenko Sabitovic are all great players too.

The only time I've seen Ittihad play was against Cheonbuk in the ACL semis, and I reckon that an on-form Seongnam would beat them - but Seongnam are a bit too hot and cold to be able to make a definite prediction though. They should be two good games :)

Hmmmmm… so Seongnam might be a lot better. Our eye is on this Asian glory and to continue ittihad’s record of dominating Korean teams. Good luck to both teams and thank you for your reply.

SAUDI, havent you read the Alam Alriyadiah newspaper? It had an interview with the coach Ivic in which he said he was positive that al ittihad will win the finals. I forgot which day it was though. I think Seognam are a bit better, but Ittihad's players can do it if they work harder.

    Mazda A3 Cup
    Hauzen Cup
Asian Champions League final (possible winners)

    FA Cup still to come
Not yet out of the Championship...

Seongnam certainly rescued their season after their crap start... but the title AND the FA Cup are coming back to Suwon :D

We will win if we perform like we did in the second half of the second leg of the semi-final.
