I try but people get mad when I state the truth. Jean, does not finish the plays. He has the ability to get pass the defenders but he never finishes the play so Cabanas can score and when he tries to do it himself, he fails. Maybe is the fact that he is playing with a big team and the AZTECA gets to him.

You are wright, more than finishing he plays as a wing. closest to the lines. At least, that's where Bielsa uses him for the National team. In addition, last year at O"higgins he was our star player playing the same way, as a wing. Anyway, I think all players at America have been playing really this past two years; I hope that changes this season or otherwise the team could face the risk of being relegated

True, but he was NEVER brought to America to score...Now if the "scorers" arent doing their job, its not Beausejour's fault...Isn't it just a little possible that Cabanaz is sucking?

So bottom line what we have here is a good player (not "great" or "bad") that is played out of position and as a result America cannot get the best out of him. ;)

i think thats about the best way you can put it...Jean has never been a great player. he lacks a good shot and is inconsistent in his crosses as well.

But IF YOU HAVE A GOOD COACH you can use his speed, fitness, and strength to OWN the flank

A great player always adapts to the requests of the coach.

I think that we have seen that. ;)

Rojas will not be starting this season but will get a lot of playing time from the bench. Valenzuela and Aquivaldo will be the starting on the center of the defense.

Are you trying to say he is great? Then you also criticize him for sucking. Make up your mind already.

You did not get what I was trying to say. All of us azulcremas have seen that Jean is not great and not even good. He is just another avg. joe.

Re: Jean Beausejour/Ricardo Rojas, America (R) (News, etc...)

i think that speaks more to your team...that you get a good player, and some great players, and turn them into average joe's.

Keep in mind that you're talking about a player that has european and brazilian experience...and on the NT he has put star players like Droguett, Vidal and Tello on the bench. If you use him properly he can be a dude that can help control the midfield.

Not even to mention what he can do defensively...Basile had to move Messi to the other side of the pitch to get him some space in the last Chile-Argentina game

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, from what i've seen America is a team that relies on individualities to win games (hence why Cabanas is so important)...Jean isn't a crack that can change a game, but he can be among the most important pieces of a well functioning team and help take it to the next level (as he is with the NT)

The problem that he faces is that if he wants playing time than he has to adapt to that position because their is no room for him in other positions besides the bench.

well, hope that works out for you guys. Not all players work in all formations, but Jean is a dude that should be able to wreck Mexican soccer

He was brought because he is a veteran and that will help the young players. Also, the team made a lot of offensive moves and that has always been questioned and maybe they did it to quiet the fans.

Maybe he was not on the right team. He did a lot when he played with us the first time and we are ok if he can bring half of that from the bench.

I hope he moves, then. He's just wasting away playing for a mediocre team that has the 2nd biggest fanbase in the country yet has not made the playoffs in 4 tournaments.

Re: Jean Beausejour/Ricardo Rojas, America (R) (News, etc...)

What I find interesting is that when he played at O'Higgins and when he plays for the NT, Jean always tends to step on the box and go for the ball if the attack came from the opposing winger... he doesn't do that in America AT ALL. His circuit is limited to a linear path on his side of the field.
