There is a thread for this over on the MLS boards but I thought I'd post it here so you can tell these influential surveyors that you are an MLS fan. http://www.jdpower.com/survey/united/start.html I ended up answering a lot of questions about the Sharks but I still got to put answers in about MLS and the Quakes.
I went and filled out the survey. I mentioned that I went to a Giants game, and it asked me all kinds of bonus questions about the Giants. I wonder if it ever asks anyone the bonus questions about the Quakes.
I got all sorts of questions about the Quakes. Actually, I completed the same survey because I had to in order to enter this sweepstakes on CBS Sportsline. At least it looks like the same survey from what I can tell.
the one i entered i said that I go to quakes games frequently and it never asked me one question about the quakes i tell it i went to one freakin' a's game (and left in the fourth inning) and I get dozens of questions on the a's. heck, even surveys shortchange soccer.
My sense is that the survey is directed at how franchises can capture the marginal fan, the one who is sort of interested but not committed. Hence, no need to ask you the questions concerning the Quakes. I could be totally wrong about this.
I said I went to Quake games very frequently and football very infrequently. I got only Quake questions.
I said I went to some niners and giants but all earthquakes and I got only questions on the giants. I really wanted to answer a earthquake specific question on media coverage but it never asked me!!
I put only a slight interest in the Giants and huge interest in the Quakes. It only asked me about the Giants.
I mentioned a slight interest in the A's and lots of interest in the Earthquakes and all I got was A's questions. I think the survey must be paid for by baseball.Seems like the only way to get soccer questions is to not be interested in baseball.
