I happened to be looking for information about Israeli abroad Michael Warwick at Stoke City when I found a post about Jay Denny and Michael Warwick called up to the USA and Israel U17 squads respectively. I don't know if anyone reported about Jay Denny so I just though I would post it up here.
Yep, we've got him. He was called in for some kind of training festival not too long ago... Chris Bergin did an interview with him at one point and I think he has posted on the ussocceruk.com boards a few times. Don't think he is cap-tied to the US. Also, while Stoke appears to think he is a player of some promise I don't know whether he's part of the picture for the US U-17s as his exposure to the team has been pretty limited and he wasn't part of qualifying.
Looks like I spoke too soon. http://www.planetfootball.com/article.asp?id=138869&cpid=10&title=Denny+delight+at+US+call-up Seems he's been called in for a tournament in S. Korea scheduled for 29 May-4 June. Opponents said to be S. Korea, Portugal, Poland -- can't be coincidence, can it?
