sad news if you ask me as GH never really gave Jari the chance to play a lot of first team ball. Hopefully this move will help Jari find that 1st football he is looking for. http://espn.go.com/soccer/news/1999/0907/43455.html
Today's teamtalk reports he'll stay quoting his agent. Other sources quote Le Boss as saying he wants to keep Jari for "selfish" reasons.
It's over- Jari has reportedly turned down the transfer. http://msn.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,1860-1062390,00.html
Ajax. Official. Gone. Heartbroken. http://www.soccernet.com/england/news/2002/0830/20020830lfclitmanen.html Dave
Give it a few weeks and the real story will come out. In transfer news of former Reds, Oyvind Leonhardsen left Spurs to sign with Villa. Apparently the arrival of Redknapp meant that his space on the training table was no longer guaranteed. (cheap shot, I admit) Dave
Shame for the Reds, although it didn't seem like he was going to get much of a chance. Great news for Ajax of course, who I think are poised to go deep in the CL this year. Maybe we'll meet up with Jari down the Road .
Haven't you heard the latest from White Hart Lane then? At the treatment centre for injured Spurs players, they have taken The Les Ferdinand Wing and The Darren Anderton Clinic and added The Jamie Redknapp Suite.
Matt.... love ya mate but over the past few weeks you've run my Irish patience into the ground. Jamie is no Paul Kennedy but let's have a little love for one our classier players.
only pulling yer noodle mate. As I've said before, Jamie Redknapp has always been one of my favourite players (the arguments I've had in the Oakfield about that bloke ...) but let's not get too excited. He never - not ever - fullfilled his potential with us. He may do at Spurs, but I personally doubt it. He will get injured again. He's just unlucky like that.
