the press release at the mn thunder site says just for this game

    but who knows

the thunder have been having very good luck with their main three strikers this year, but a bigger guy like jaqua would be a welcome 4th

hopefully they'll get him more involved than they did for Henry.

    Jaqua to Thunder

If Nate is going to go to ANY A-League team it should be right here in Portland. An Oregon guy with a huge local following from his University of Portland days.

Get your paws off him Minnesota - Morehead, Meyongar and Torres not enough for ya?

    Re: Jaqua to Thunder

Or maybe it's just because Minnesota is

    a) close by, and it's only for a game or two

    2. a club we have a previous relationship with

iii - someone's whose been kind enough to loan us good players when we get in trouble in the past

But those reasons would make too much sense.

The fire website reports it is only for their match tomorrow against the Indiana Blast -- http://www.chicago-fire.com/pressbox/pressrelease/releasetext.asp?prID=1264

If it was for a longer period than that, it would put us in kind of a bind numbers-wise.

Here's our roster for this weekend...

    Razov
    Ralph
    Faria (is he back?)
    Jaqua

    Williams
    Mapp
    Capano
    Futagaki
    Gray
    Pause

    Perez
    Whitfield
    Brown
    Curtin

    Ring
    Thornton

Assuming Faria is back, that still only leaves us 14 field players. BTW, Bocanegra would have had to miss this weekends match against DCU even without being called by the Nats due to yellow card points accumulation -- so we definitely won't be getting him released from Nats duty for Saturday.

Where's Dipsey? Or is he still injured?

    ????????

He only has 15 points. He needs 21 for the first suspension.

And he didn't get any last weekend so he doesn't have a run of three.

Faria is not back, but Dipsey should be on there.

Again, its only for one game according to the Fire webstei.

Friend of mine who was there said Jacqua was a men among boys. He asked why Jacqua wasn't playing for the Fire? I had to tell him there are a bunch of forwards up here.

    Good for Nate, though.

I think it's just a matter of time. Dave wouldn't have picked him up so high in the draft if he didn't know for sure that Nate had what it takes to play on this team.

I think we can say that for sure after seeing how all the other draft picks are panning out this year.

My bad. I misread the following from the May 30 Fire pressbox...

I missed the key word "should" as in should he pick up an additional one in San Jose.
