    Group B

    France
    Japan
    Colombia
    New Zealand

Top 2 advance. The only team ranked above Japan is France. I'm not saying Colombia and NZ are pushovers, but it beats the hell outta Group A:

    US
    Brazil
    Turkey
    Cameroon

i prefered to be put in the other group. i wish we could swap the place with cameroon. it'll be great to see all japan vs brazil, usa, and turkey at once.

home side france will definately be the toughest although they just got stunned by czech 2-0. japan and colombia will fight for the second place. i have no idea about new zealand. they'll either get humiliated or surprise us all.

Japan probably got as good a draw as they could've hoped. They should be able to handle the Kiwis with relative ease and Colombia can be world-beaters or egg-beaters depending on the night.

I'm less than pleased with the U.S.' draw, but it'll be another good test. C'mon jet lag!

i wish we were in the group b but if only we can go through to the next round we can play 2 more games including with those from group a and that's what i want for now. btw will the condede cup die after this one or fifa will have more?

Japan will have a good shot at the final four. Basically beat New Zeland by a bunch of goals and look for a tie with Colombia. Group A is much easier than Group B.

European clubs are doing their pouting routine about having to release players for this and for the World Club Championship, so some reports are saying FIFA is considering rescheduling the Confederations Cup to every four years to be played the year before the World Cup.

That said, the Confederations Cup will go before the WCC. The WCC is Sepp's baby and he won't let it go easily.

nobody wants to release their players for this tournament even if it's once in four years coz there's not much reason for european side to win this competition. france won it last time but i really wonder how many french were so happy to hear about it. i thought wc was the one to decide the best team in the world and then why fifa needs this? however, confede cup is still a good occasion for soccer developing nations to appeal themselves.

The French B can still win this tournament.

Maybe the Euro clubs should consider reducing the number of matches they play. It is an honor to play for your national team and tournaments like the Confederation Cup should be given some importance.

It was a real shame that last year's Copa America was ruined by politics and uninterested players. National sides should be priority one for all players.
