Does he speak Spanish to the media instead of Japanese because the Portuguese interpreters can handle it?
Probably that's because they have Spanish interpreter in the club so they won't have to spend more money on that?
Not quite sure really. I've heard him do interviews in Spanish and in Japanese during his time at FC Seoul... I guess it depends on whatever interpreter is there at that moment.
Yeah I remembered Adilson being there so I figured there would be an interpreter for Portuguese...forgot they had Molina as well. What about Damjanovic - do they have a Serbo-Croatian interpreter, or English....or Korean?
They don't have a Serbian interpreter so Damjanovic does all of his interviews in English. Unfortunately, most of the long-term K-Leaguers cannot speak Korean at all despite the fact that some of them had lived for years in Korea, with the only exception being Radoncic.
Escudero provided an assist for the 3rd goal in a 4-1 win against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. That means we are basically in the next year's ACL. 今日久しぶりに勝てました!!最近ゴールとアシスト毎試合できてるけどまだまだ代表えの道は開かないって事は足りないんだなって!もっともっとアピールして必ず目標達成できるように頑張ります!あと今日頭と頭ぶつけ頭に傷が!T_T pic.twitter.com/5YW8Lr6S1m— エスクデロ 競飛王 (@chacarita151) November 20, 2013 この二人とサッカーできて本当に幸せです!I'm so happy play soccer together this 2 guys.Muy feliz por poder jugar con estos dos grandes jugadores.— エスクデロ 競飛王 (@chacarita151) November 20, 2013 pic.twitter.com/NszL9fz0by— エスクデロ 競飛王 (@chacarita151) November 20, 2013 He was also in last week's "Best Weekly XI" for his performance against Incheon United scoring a goal and providing an assist.
The same goes for a lot of the long-time foreigners in Japan as well, doesn't it? Atleast I've never heard any of the long-term Brazilians or Eastern European's being interviewed in Japanese. Might be that they are just more comfortable using their mother tongue though, but one should assume and expect that a player like Marquinhos or Juninho, who's been in Japan for a loooooong time, would be more or less fluent by now.
This seems like a cultural thing. Lucas and Juninho can do a postmatch interview in Japanese if required.., On a similar note, I think it's hilarious that Ichiro still uses an interpreter in the US.
Then what about Pixy who spent so many years in Japan but never does his post match interviews in Japanese even though he probably could?

Nice...so Escudero and Masuda still harbor NT & European ambitions. Escudero holds a Spanish passport so I hope he can make it to La Liga at some point.
Minori Sato, who recently played for FC Dinamo Brest in the Belarusian league, has transferred to the Uzbek side, FC Bunyodkor. There was a thread for him at WSW, so I see no problem if someones creates one for him at FC Seoul too.
It wasn't widely reported in Japan (or I'm on the rong side of the Japanese Internet maybe ) but Yojiro Takagi together with FC Seoul won 2015 Hana Bank FA Cup. They won 3-1 against Incheon United, Takahagi scored a great oponing goal of the game and also he got the tournament's MVP award. Kanpeki.
