Just think that's worth a note... Definitively the first time that all Japanese in the top two tiers of German football played, with 8 out of 10 starting and Okazaki/Tasaka coming from the bench.
All our 8 fit players saw playing time in 1. Bundesliga this weekend, with 6 starting, 2 coming from the bench. Sticky, someone?
Misc: Sergio Escudero training with his friends. (Dejan Damjanovic, Mauricio Molina and Adilson dos Santos)
wasn't sure were to post this, since it's not a transfer, so I'll try here. Italian local tv TeleArena confirmed days ago that Gonda will train with Verona indeed in december. It is only a training stage. now teioh, go make some pictures! http://www.tuttohellasverona.it/?action=read&idnotizia=9521 I love how they capitalize "JAPAN'S NT GK" carefully not writing that he isn't the first GK
Naga and Kagawa nominated for the best 2012 AFC player in Europe award. http://www.the-afc.com/en/media-releases/40585-nominees-for-top-afc-awards-announced
Except I think if they can't attend the ceremony, they don't get the award. So some random Middle Easterm guy, or Uzbeki man like the past few years will get it.
FC Seoul (Sergio Escudero) has clinched the K-League title with only 3 games remaining. FC Seoul lead the table with 90 points which separates the 2nd place team, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, by 12 points. A couple of months ago, I was a bit skeptical about Escudero coming to the team. The fans didn't know much about him and he wasn't getting much playing time at Urawa, but in the last next couple of months he has proved me wrong. He bought the team another number 10 like player. Hopefully, when the six months are up and he returns to Urawa he would fight for a starting spot. Misc: (Taken by his teammate, Mauricio Molina)
Great to see him playing consistently, I was a bit unsure of this move as well. Glad to see it's paid off, not sure if he'll change around our fortunes next season though.
Started and played a full game in 1-0 win against the 2nd place team, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Highlight: They also received their K-League trophy:
http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/soccer/world/news/20130110-OHT1T00287.htm Kosuke Kinoshita apparently signed with SC Freiburg. The youngster who was invited to train with Man City. Freiburg. F*** my arse.
yeah you're right, I'd wait, let's see if something happens on Monday. *by the way I meant "would" in the post before (also heh, I'm not convinced by the "spin" at the beginning of the article)
Honestly nobody knew him I think. You can read some stats at the end of the article, that's all we have basically.
Hard to say if he's "any good" as he is unproven. He has the size, scores (at youth level), and it is said Mancini liked him.
