Nakamura: I want to go Home. At the end it mentions spain

I hope he stays in europe at least till the end of 2010. I doubt it but I would prefer it. Spain would be brilliant. Yokohama would be a disaster.

If he does leave, could open the door for Mizuno. But he's also said he wants to go on loan cause celtic aren't giving him first team time. Could be back to Japan as well/

lol Lawwells' response is to try and get him to stay longer.

I hate to say it, but I honestly don't think Mizuno is going to break in over there.
They've got Brown (who I think is terrible wide) Maloney and McGeady, with added competition from Caddis and McCourt. I think he can beat the last 2... but that's just to a spot on the bench. =/
Too much junk in there really.

    FT Catania [4 - 0] Padova

    24' [1 - 0] N. Dica

    30' [2 - 0] T. Morimoto

    62' [3 - 0] R. Sabato

    89' [4 - 0] T. Morimoto

Nice to see him scoring again :)

And i watched Celtic against Aalborg, it ended 0-0. Bad result for Celtic but they didn't play that bad, Aalborg stood up well.

Nakamura were good, had 2 freekicks , i thought he scored on one of them but the goalkeeper did a great save.

Matsui got left out of the UEFA Cup game for St Etienne. :(

But at least Morimoto seems to be getting into form.

Bundesliga roundup... I didn't watch games this week though.

Ono and Inamoto rode the bench again =(

But Hasebe played full 90 in a 1-0 win.

Keep in mind Morimoto got into form against a Serie C team.

Nakamura played full 90 against Kilmarnock for a 3-1 win. Perhaps one of the better "complete" games I've seen from him for awhile, he tracked back decently and was crucial in maintaining posession several times immediately after stealing the ball. Also won a penalty (that Samaras finished)... but minus 2 Killie players hitting him in the head after he already went down, it didn't look like a lot of contact.

I'll take it. At least he's finishing against somebody...

Not exactly front-page news here, but Mizuno played in Celtics reserve game against Rangers (how long has he been back from injury??) -- and a nice picture of him at the top of the match report.
    http://www.celticfc.net/news/stories/news_230908155530.aspx

Nakamura sat out for a rather trivial match against Livingston in the league cup.

Somebody explains me the long-term benefits of playing for a reserve team in Scotland... I mean, ok, it is in Europe, but is the level better than J1? I honestly doubt it...

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2008/09 [R]

I think the idea is that the training facilities and coaching are better. But I agree... if he doesn't start playing 1st team football he desperately needs to move on.
It doesn't help that they played a weakened side for the cup game -- and Caddis played RM. He also only got into the reserve game after McGlinchey had to be subbed in the 1st minute... so is he 2nd, 3rd, 4th choice ?? Just how far down the pecking order is he? :(

Morimoto from the first minute vs. Juventus. He is facing Chiellini!
Now, that's something better than playing vs Glasgow Rangers' reserves...

    Yeah, we're around the 20th in the 1st half,but ESPN is showing Inter-Lecce and Reggina-Milan. :(

Yea I tuned in just in time to see the goal... bad timing from me. But in another way, I don't really care if Juve score... I just want to see Morimoto score too.

Yeah I hope Morimoto scores two, and it ends 6-2 for Juve. :)

wtf is with St Etienne... they look like shite and leave a legitimately very good player on the bench for how long now? If they weren't interested in playing him, why did they sign him?
I suspect shirt deals are afoot... classless.

Actually Matsui wasn't even on the bench.
According to the official site, he is injured, though.

Hasebe and Inamoto played whole 90 minutes.

Like Robin said, he is injured according to Saint-Etienne official website. Matsui started the League Cup game during the mid week against Guingamp which is only a bottom Ligue 2 side. They losed 4-1 though...

To be fair, Matsui is not having much playing time at Saint-Etienne since the beginning of the season because he was disappointing when he had the opportunity to play.
