I don't know if going to PSV would be the right move next season. I think that he should play one season in Eredivise with VVV Venlo to see how he copes with higher level opponents. I mean he only played half a season before they were relegated. It would probably be better to see how well he can perform at the top level and then move to a big club.

They have to get through the qualifiers first though, but still. Would be awesome if it happened!

Coool. I've been waiting for the day that an asian player transfered to a big norwegian or swedish club.

That's true, but with the changes... Qualifiers will be a lot easier than they have been (if you're Champions at least.) No more meeting the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, or Liverpool before you're even in the group stages.

    From Norwegian media today :

Kobayashi will meet Stabæk on La Manga , Spain where they are on training camp.

He is a etablished and very interesting player and he is not going to trial.

Stabæk sold Alanzinho to Turkish Trabzonspor yesterday and need a new midfielder.

How good of a league is it? Is it fairly strong or just top heavy or what.

He's wanted to go europe for a long time and I don't think he can improve anymore at Omiya......especially with the constant changing of managers. To be honest, he won't get into the NT staying at Omiya.

It makes me sad that he won't be in Omiya and our team is weaker without him but I'm not mad. He could've left for Chiba and the magic beans that Sir Alex is trying to sell but he didn't..........Best player in Omiya history.

Time for the kids to step up, I guess. :(

I would not say the norwegian league is better than J-League, but not so much worse either. And if he plays good for Stabaek it is much easier for him to move on to bigger things in Europe..

well, imo the japanese league is the best among them. Just like J.League are mostly made up by japanese, the norwegian league are mostly made up by norwegians. On average i rate the japanese players higher than the norwegians, although Norway got individuals that are better. Plus, J.League got some quality-brazilians as well, whereas the norwegian league brings in african talents instead, or to a lesser extent, icelandic players.

A very interesting move though if it happens!

Norwegian teams got 20-30 % foreigners in squad. Stabæk got 11 foreigners in the squad , mostly Swedish.

yeah, but most teams usually have 6-9 norwegians in the starting line-up every match, which means the teams are still mostly made up by norwegians. Compared to Japan, usually 3 out of 11 players are foreigners ( due to the maximum 3 foreigner rule), so it's not that big a difference imo. u're a Stabæk-fan i presume, Jonny?

Apparently the cup games only allow 5 subs... so no Mizuno. :(

Naka + Crosas in midfield is nice though.

Hasebe and Okubo starting for Wolfsburgs' cup game too :D

What a nail-bitter for Celtic! Nakamura was great and it was a same that Mizuno could not play.

Good result for Wolfsburg also. Winning 5-1, unfortunately neither Okubo or Hasebe scored.
