Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] According to UK immigration rules it should be a permanent Japan National Player with at least 75% appearances in the last two years... Candidates?
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Plus most Japanese people rate Italian & Spanish Football over English Football.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] It might have to do with the fact that -overall- English football is still more physical, while japanese fans/players prefer leagues where actual skills are predominant... ...it is a VERY thin line, anyway; especially with so many foreigners in the EPL and a constant improvement in the game. (OT -- I personally adore the EPL, even if the big four are dead boring...)
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Basically most of the top Korean players in Europe are benchwarmers. South Korean players face uncertain future in Premier League http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/11/30/sports/AS-SPT-SOC-SKorea-Premier-League.php I think benchwarmers like them or Oguro should return to Asia. It's ture that the popularity of the EPL in Japan is really poor compared to other nations. But first of all, Japanese people don't care about Euro-Leagues so much. We have one of the best leagues in the world. I hope the JFA prohibit Japanese players from going to Europe like Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are smart. If Matsui or Nakamura or Takahara return to the J-League, the league will improve dramatically.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] I think Tulio and Abe are just about ready for a move to Europe. And they did their chances no harm in the CWC either. seolseol: Which Nakamura? LOL I think both are good enough to warrant a mention at least.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Tulio has been linked with Espanyol and some Bundesliga sides. If he and Abe move to Europe, Urawa are doomed By the way, I'm a bit surprised that Miyamoto is playing OK at Salzburg.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] I'd like to be more positive on this, but unfortunately that's probably what's going to happen. They have been our biggest players this season along with Ponte.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] I was thinking about Shunsuke. Atleast i heard some rumours about him. Especially now when Maloney wants to return to Celtic. But i don't think Nakamura will go anywhere in January because of the CL. And yes, i like Kengo too. But he hasn't played so many matches for the NT right?
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Yeah he is there already. And they said Ono got injured while training with Bochum
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] We need to face the truth. Ono is over. Have to say, Bochum is one of the most stupid clubs I've ever seen. Urawa must be happy to release the injury prone because he is too expensive for a benched player.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Why so? So far they have not spent a penny and they got a lot of publicity in Japan for free... I don't believe that even if they hire Ono they will pay his salary: some Japanese sponsor will.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] We never know with the future though, he might just have the Bochum team built around him and suddenly be world class again. Not entirely impossible I guess.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] I was stating the 5% probablility. Thanks for pointing out the 95% probability.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] well there is time where one gets plagued, and then will get over it and become a good player again. Lets be optimistic.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Koki Mizuno closes in on Celtic. Is it me or is that out of the blue? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/7177492.stm
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] http://www.sportal.it/news/news328706.html Daisuke Matsui has been linked with Palermo.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Says here he was recommended by Shunsuke Nakamura, he of the tin can-opening left foot. http://football.guardian.co.uk/breakingnews/feedstory/0,,-7216504,00.html
