No Kashima! Team breakdown is a bit strange Urawa-7players JEF Chiba-4 players Marinos-3 players Sanfrecce-2 players Gamba-2 players Frontale-1 player Jubilo-1 player Omiya-1 player Grampus-1 player No international players and half the J league is not represented
I think no international players is because they would just come a day before the match anyway. But even when they are invited I think it will only be a couple of them. Zico always chose almost all of them even if they never saw game action.. Team breakdown is fine. I really wouldn't choose any Kashima players besides Ogasawara and maybe a defender, but going with a mostly Urawa defense gives stability.
7 is a little much for any one team to give up in the middle of the season. If one or two get hurt, it's a knock to their chances......even with a team that has the depth of Urawa....also they have a game on Saturday as well so they are up to Niigata and then up against a fully rested Kashima squad. As much as I'd like to, I can't argue the merits of any of the 7 who are on the squad and I understand picking alot from one or two squads for consistency but it's still a bit much to ask of one squad or two (JEF and Marinos are giving up a bunch too and they aren't deep)
Well, Osim usually only puts 3 in the backline anyway and loads up with MF. Just look at how many MF there are! I wonder who's gonna start.

Urawa sucks, If some of these players are getting call-ups, where the hells Futagawa, Ienaga and Hashimoto
Hey!!! Is ANYONE recording the match tonight??? NOW I know what it feels like to NOT get access to Japanese TV here!!! FCUK!!!! VN
Sorry, don't have a recorder. Seems Komano and Kaji are both starting. GK: 23 Kawaguchi(cap) DF: 20 Tsuboi 21 Kaji 45 Tulio 31 Komano MF: 14 Alex 4 Endo 55 Suzuki 30 Abe FW: 36 Maki 38 Tanaka
Don't worry, I'd even settle for a VCR recording, I could make a video file off of that. By the way, who is starting besidesthe following: GK- Kawaguchi DF- Komono MF- Kaji VN
I listed the starters in my previous post. Maki's header hit the post, and Tanaka's wide open rebound chance got saved.
Sounds like they're creating chances and getting shots. Of course, MAKING THE SHOTS, is a different story. VN
Is there any stream of this game? Who of you is recording it? How is Yemen playing are the playing defensiv or are they attacking ß
I just wonder if this will turn into another Oman (early 2004) match. Scoreless until 2nd half loss time, then somehow get a winner. VN
There is always a chance. Big scramble in front of the goal. Popped out of the Yemen keepers hands 3 times but Japan couldn't get it in. Actually a Yemen defender kicked it out of his own keeper's hands once. Almost halftime..
