The war may be over by March 29. The welfare of our soldiers and the Homeland of the U.S. is a Lot more important than some stupid soccer game.
Which means the match should be cancelled why?How does a soccer match threaten the welfare of our soldiers and homeland in any way? Please enlighten me. Kevin
Japanese are allergic to war OK, I am a USA supporter who lives in Japan. I was really looking forward to this match but if there is war I know Japan will cancel. They are allergic to war and I know this is old news but they feel two A-bombs gives them the right. I will do my bit and send an e-mail to the Japan Football Association asking them to go anyway. Let's cross our fingers that Iraq will do an 'own goal' and overthrow Saddam this month.
Despite the large number of people, a sporting event at a stadium is one of the easiest things to make secure. How many games has Israel cancelled for fear of a terrorist attack or put another way, when is the last time you heard of an attack of any kind on an Israeli sporting event? It's hardley what is called a "soft target". I'm not forgetting what happened at the Olympics, btw. You're safer at a soccer match than the car or bus you took to get there, even at a time of war. Just my opinion. The above doesn't apply to a US vs Mexico game in LA, though.
