I've read about Torres being linked with Arsenal again. Is he even a realistic target? Haven't some Spanish clubs already offered big money for him already?

From The Sun, apparently, Lehmann is done as our #1. Ah, well. After seeing Aluminium's great save on the FSW top 10, he's OK with me...

Not sure what the wink means since Hertha never got to the quarterfinals of the CL. They got dumped into the UEFA cup the only times they made the CL.

That's a funny idea to replace Lehmann with Kiraly. Perhaps he's playing well at the moment but do you really know how many mistakes he made in the past? Will be alot of fun if he really would play for Arsenal. :D

Ahhhhh, poop. I personally think Flamini is a band-aid on the crumbling dike that is the Arsenal MF. I pray that he is worth the $$$ and will become a solid contributor to the side.

That's the risk you run when aquiring youth this way but in the end I think its fair because most of the smaller clubs cannot convince the youth players from overseas to come to their clubs so its a bit of a ballancing factor that things like these happen sometimes... its happened to us in the past too..

Well.... some changes NEED to be made... its painfully obvious from a huge home like myself... goalscoring is a MASSIVE problem.... ya who thinks we dont need a quality (proven) goalscorer now??
you cant expect to keep cleansheets and win 1 nil... sorry
not in this league... not dramatic retooling, but we just cannot expect to put kids in the starting eleven and win the league/CL/etc...
i reckon vieira is gone this summer.... who knows, henry may move on as well...
we should compete for the eufa cup hopefully...... but then we'd just lose on penalities to some turkish side anyways.....

Dude, chin up! I know it doesn't look good. But for Heaven's sake don't give little tossers like Zani the satisfaction. We need you, man!

Has anyone else noticed the form of Boupa Diop for Fulham, the guy has been superb, he's like a young Vieira, same physique also and he scores a lot of goals as well
He would be a great fit at Arsenal, I don't know how much he would cost
but I don't think we would have to break the bank.

I've been thinking the same thing. He scores a fair amount for his position. He is good at getting his head to ball to get possession in midfield, score, and protect his goal. His tackling is good but not great so he picks up a few too many yellows. He is a physical presence and can steamroll many EPL players. His passing isn't quite up to our normal standard (which is a lot better than we saw this weekend obviously) but is not so poor that he'll be a liability. He can certainly pass as well as Gilberto and better than Sol.

it appears they might be calling it off

MARSEILLE may drop their Court of Arbitration for Sport appeal over the transfer of Mathieu Flamini to Arsenal.

I know 2 things about Dellas.
    1. He couldn't cut it in the first division at Sheffield United.
    2. He looked good in the massed Greece defence as they won Euro 2004.

God only knows what he'd be like in a team that actually attacks the opposition, necessarily leaving less cover at the back. I can't believe Wenger is even considering this.

Traianos Dellas is an ok defender and certainly can't be worse than Cygan as backup for Sol. He is good heading the ball on defense and gets a goal every once in awhile. He isn't very quick and I'm not sure that he'd be up to the pace of the EPL. I think he can work as long as you use him correctly. He did very well with Greece at Euro 2004 but their style is about as far from ours as I can imagine.

I thought he was out of contract this summer and Roma was trying to sell him last year so he won't get a new contract. If we do go for him, I certainly hope it won't cost 1m for a player that has played a minor role with Roma and would be free in a few months anyway. Sounds more like agent-based speculation to me.
