Isn't she still illegal? I feel quite filthy as the puddle of drool accumulates here on my desk . . .

As an aside: Donovan would do precisely dick for us. There are plenty of places where he would add a spark, but we don't need another Garcia-like player (with only half the skill of Garcia).

    Lawro's Premiership predictions

    Liverpool v Crystal Palace
As good as Palace are playing at the moment I'm going with the home team here.

Liverpool's form at Anfield has been good and they should have beaten Birmingham last weekend.

They are making slow but steady progression under Rafael Benitez.

There are clearly players at the club he does not want and at the moment it's a case of fitting a few square pegs into round holes.

Well, in order to try solving the right wing problem, we can make a dip into Benitez' old team and snip Fiore. He is not getting along well with Ranieri and could prove to be useful.

    Who is the girl??

Did anybody else see Kirkland's comments about not deserving a call up? He needs to be a bit more greedy if you ask me. I'll say right now, I'm the solution to Englands left-side problems.

I think we can safely assume that that list has Diao on it. And Henchoz. And Dudek. And, quite possibly, Harry Kewell. Although that is a longer shot. Beyond that, I think it's mainly speculation of the vague and largely pointless kind on behalf of our favourite pundit ...

Henchoz is most certainly leaving, hopefully as soon as the winter. I'd not mind seeing us try to get Kuffour from Bayern as a third CB on a free, as his contract is up at the end of the season.
Diao would be next, probably followed by Hamann.

If (and I consider it a big if as things stand) we do go for the Finn lad, I think we can assume that Diao's days are numbered. I can think of no other reason why we would go for more central midfield squad padding.

yeah ,i guess we have enough depth in midfield!!but it could be a option if DiDi desides to go!!think we should get a striker, and then another CB!

Typical British press crap --- Salgado says SG could play for Real and Xabi says SG could make any XI in the world --- therefore he's going to Real. Kin of like: God is love, love is blind, Stevie Wonder is blind, therfore Stevie Wonder is God.

No matter who wants him, Stevie is only ever leaving if Stevie wants to leave. And he's not wanted to yet. At least not finally and completely. See my sig.

They're talking about Tainio. He's from Finland. He would be fine cover for center midfield.

yeap, its the same guy that cisse wanted to follow him to anfield!!!and theres the rumour that milan would want to buy risse!!!its no surprise, since they dont have a quality left back!!the have to play with maldini ,but hes a centre half, not a left back!!but we cant aford to lose him,hes our only option apart from traore in the back!!(maybe benitez could get tempyed to sell him if the price is right!!,but i wouldnt want to lose him :( )

You mean the thread that hasn't been used this month? . . . . I mean, I'm all for order, but chastising people for posting stuff in this thread is a little finicky, especially when the posts are, after all, ostensibly in the context of, and in reference to, the "Jan Transfer Window," which happens to be the title of this thread.

Well, to be fair, recently we have had an explosion of threads that probably ought to be posts in existing threads, not new streams of discussion. (More specifically Injury Bay/Transfer Rumors, Lies, and Nonsense/Jan. Transfer Window/etc.)

I think it's helpful to drop little reminders every once in awhile to help stop thread sprawl, even if the reminder is posted in one of these omnibus threads.

I agree but I would rather see Mellor, SP and Kewell play up top ahead of those two.

I read on the Liverpool Website last week, that Nunez would like to have the opportunity to play up front. Now this might be because he may see it being more difficult to break into the midfield.

I still say we need one more forward and back-up for Jamie and Sami.

Get rid of Diao & Henchoz. 3 months ago I would have added Biscan to that list but Rafa seems to have turned him around, and hopefully he will do the same to Harry.

I guess I should have put a little smiley on for you... :) There!

You're right for the most part but do you really think Nicki Anelka or Michael Owen will come back. Or if you really think Donovan, Bridge, Torres are coming here to Anfield or Stevie G is going to Everton....Well maybe not that..

But some of this stuff is a little absurd. Like Super elf mentioned we have the threads and a lot of urban sprawl or something like that!
