Wow. An interview with Angus Deaton, ahead of his Nexus lecture at my Alma Mater: Use google translate if interested. https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2022/12/1...p-een-revolutie-zegt-deze-topeconoom-a4151311 Interview If the U.S. doesn't curb its capitalism, it's waiting for a revolution, says this top economist. Angus Deaton The moment americans grab the pitchfork and rebel against their political class is fast approaching, sees Nobel Prize winner Angus Deaton. "It's mostly condescension that the less educated white Americans experience."
Complicity On Dec. 20, 2020, a 21-year-old intelligence analyst went online to search for local Washington, D.C., fishing holes and stumbled upon the blueprint of a plot to storm the Capitol and execute members of Congress and law enforcement officers to prevent the certification of electoral votes to make Joe Biden the next president. The domestic terrorism analyst with the Department of Homeland Security saw a link to a website where people “actively at that moment were discussing the commission of acts of terroristic violence and the violent overthrow of the government of the United States,” according to the analyst’s written account later provided to investigators... ...DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis is the sole intelligence agency in the U.S. government charged by law with sharing emerging threat information with its vast network of federal, state, local and tribal partners across the country. This is referred to as its duty to warn. And yet, in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6, this arm of DHS produced no warnings, no bulletins and no alerts or other reports on threats it was seeing, documents obtained by Yahoo News show. If it had, this could have impacted police posture at the Capitol, or freed up or activated more resources to better prepare for that day. But DHS’s intelligence office shared no information about potential threats, the inspector general report says. https://news.yahoo.com/exclusive-an...2453.html?ncid=twitter_yahoonewst_sjwumo1bpf4
I've started on Riggleman's book - which is written with the journalist Hunter Walker who is collaborating with Josh on the Meadows texts. (I am presuming Riggleman is the source of the texts?) The first thing that struck me was this - as Josh notes - Don Jr was the first person to outline the complete conspiracy as it actually occured. Riggleman notes that the Meadows texts are critical because they give the view from the centre of a combined judicial, executive and legislative attempt to overturn the election. In part it is clear Meadows was coordinating, but reading between the lines, it is also clear that there was a different hub for this - in the Trump campaign - IMO Just amazing to me that first person to mention Jan 6 and key outlines of the plan in any of these texts was none other than Don Jr https://t.co/RZ2OU4EmY5— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) December 14, 2022
I find the idea that capitalism will be the target of “less educated white Americans” pitchforks to be….suspect.
Well, we're seeing a lot of economic anxiety and people fighting for..... check notes.... Oh yeah, take away rights from others. Ha! Take that! Oh, Wait!
Talk about family celebrations. My wife's siblings share birthdays (4 years apart) and it's one week earlier than my wife's own.
Does this happen to be roughly 9 months after one of the following: New Year's Valentine's Dad's Birthday?
Yeah, Holland Monitor doesn't know the general lack of class envy among 'Mericans. we all believe the lie that "you can be a billionaire too!"
Only if you assume (as many Americans do) that "class" is merely a function of income brackets. There are plenty of Americans who resent experts, the highly educated, credentialed experts, intellectuals, etc. Americans don't care if somebody else has more money than them, but they are very eager to tear anybody down who gives the slightest whiff of having knowledge, insight, or understanding they don't possess. As @superdave often rightly notes--Trump's base are relatively affluent but not well-educated.
Those are for blowjobs, not regular sex. So, I doubt it. That's right, now he's got to think of his mom going down on his dad! Bwahahaha!!!! You should sing this for your younger brother every time he has a birthday. Men At Work - It's a Mistake (Video) - YouTube
Well, I imagine we can guess when your parents like to have sex. Mid August birthdays? So, Christmas "fun"?
Sounds like Christmas to me-- Christmas and your mom was about a week better at growing them than most. My sister was fourth of July and I was my dad's promotion...
