Interesting point by a blue check attorney. The DOJ typically doesn’t prosecute for mishandling classified info unless it was deliberately given to a third party. Given this is the former President we’re talking about…this may not just be about the boxes

On Hannity at this very moment, Hannity has Eric Trump.

Of course, he is claiming that this only happened because Tr*mp is "Biden's largest threat."

That's as much as I can take.

I wouldn't be surprised if Donnie was selling classified docs. Some were so sensitive that their existence & substance was known by only a handful of govt officials. Of course Trump was probably showing them off to guests down there.

It's easy to say this in hindsight, but had the danger passed? Do we know this with certainty? Did he know that with certainty? And if was so clear, wouldn't Biden have asked him to step aside?

As far as him being a civilian...he is a career military person. Technically he would have been a civilian, but I doubt he would have been able to switch that military switch to "off."

I'm wondering if they were trying to figure out what was in those boxes, and it took this long to determine, with certainty, what was there.

And it will be interesting to know who this 3rd party is.

I have no idea what you’re trying to ask here.
Perhaps I wasn’t clear. I am wondering why it took 18 months for Milley to go public with all this shit. That’s on him. The danger I was referring to was the coup…which he witnessed in real time. He did the right thing by staying….as he knew that had he resigned his replacement would go along with it. I’m even giving him a pass for not speaking publicly as long as he remained chairman of the joint chiefs….as to publicly comment on what is ultimately a political and legal matter as the head of the US military would be a terrible terrible thing to do. What Im criticizing for is not recognizing that once Biden was president….he would have better served the country by resigning…and then going public with what he knew from first hand experience. I’m further giving him the benefit of the doubt that perhaps he’s already shared what he knew with the DOJ. I am also stating that the danger trump presented had NOT passed…I’ve been consistent with that for 18 months. That he granted an exclusive “interview” with “reporter” that ended up sitting on this for months rather than going public is a flaw on his record.

To be clear….the third party was a hypothesis from the Twitter poster as to why the DOJ would take this major step…as of now nobody knows. I’ve also seen that it could also be likely that they discovered documents with serious national security implications were also missing and had not been returned and they were able to show a judge that it was highly likely that those were there.

Wonder if any of the institutionalists ever got together and said "we should resign en masse and expose the insanity that is the Trump White House in order to save democracy" There was certainly leaking going on but it was mostly laughed at as Trump being an inexperienced dumbass. We were pretty darn close to at least a delay in the certification of the election.

I imagine it was a little like a real life game of thrones. Even the institutionalist probably had to worry who among them they could really trust. I feel the same way when talking politics with neighbors and coworkers. Can I really be honest with these folks or is it better to keep my mouth shut. And the repercussions are way way less.

Would Trump really be dumb enough to leave physical evidence laying around his home, 18 months later?!?

    None of this makes sense.

He would still be a reserve anyway, I think, not a civilian.

Like there's no such thing as an ex-Marine, there's really no such thing as an ex-General.

I found this interesting reading Strzok's book and "her emails"

The FBI were not interested in "mishandling" which is typically addressed via administrative means. Indeed low level breaches happen all the time. It was apparently clear early on that the FBI were not going to find Clinton doing crazy stuff with classified info.

I think Marrioti is correct that there is something much bigger going on here, and in particular, something at Mar-a-Lago that they expected to find in relation to crimes

    That may well be communications.
