Yeah, is that fact bc i also saw that is due to votes and the viudas de James were voting in mass.
who actually saw the game and can objectively say how he did…

I really hope he can get things together bc the sponsors and the selección James fans are pressuring for him to play and be captain even if he is an ex player.
No serious team competing in the WC would put up with that shit but its us.. and we can be so unserious

See comments above. He played fine - dead balls were excellent and passing crisp - didn't have to exert himself too much and so wasn't exposed on fitness

And his shots and passes would have been great in any league. In fact, if his teammates were a bit better at shooting he may have had some assists.

I saw the highlights. He did well, and against a team who defended Messi pretty well. So there’s hope he can be fit.

just keep working hard and prove us your still king

if James plays this weekend I am getting some real good tickets to the game in Boston :)

found some MF tickets for only $50 each and way better ones for $100 each.

Section 111 will be behind the Minnesota bench :) see if he will sign the kids stuff

I don't know guys like my whole life anytime anyone found out I was from Colombia they would mention Pablo Escobar

after 2014 it was James Rodriguez. A way more positive person that is now mentioned. I would go abroad and I had a colombia Adidas book bag and people would say James and give me a thumbs up.

his career didn't hit the heights we all wished it would have but you guys make this dude sound like he is Juan Pablo Pino or the Montano who was at parma at 16 and Peru at 25

    valid point....

when i was in Greece for my honeymoon in 2019, we went to some ice cream shop and when i told the girl behind the counter i was Colombian, her reaction was "Maluma!"

in the 90s and 00s the immediate reaction was always Escobar and from time to time I would get Valderrama or even Faustino (mostly by British folks), which was refreshing...

Both things dont have to be exclusive of each other.
He has been a very influential player, no one doubts that.

We can also say that his lack of profesionalism and dedication to the game is something we should not be dismissing bc thats kinda what we are doing when he doesnt want to train and play but still gets his way.

I hope he uses the next 45 days to get ready so he can play 45-60 minutes in the WC... Heck, even the games against Uzbekistan and DR Congo could help him get to top form... We need him near 100% for the match against Portugal and the elimination rounds.

It's a shame, if he was in really good shape he'd be perfect for 30 minutes against tired legs and able to remain fit and maybe 60 minutes vs the shitty teams but Lorenzo will jam him in there. I don't think against Portugal we can have a shot with a James playing the full game abasing that midfield, the recent friendlies should make it abundantly clear we can't go against top sides with James at current age and level and have a good chance, we def could if we committed to being able to defend and attack with every player on the field and maintaining width on both sides.

    we played with 10 players.

and that whole thing about "oh he made some good passes" is BS.

Well it is just up to James by this point. How he will end his Legacy as Colombians most prolific player in terms of achievement. Will he secure it as the greatest we ever have or will that be taken by another Colombian player in the near future?
