Sounds like the manager and the club probably signed him with the understanding that his minutes need to be managed and that he will prioritize Colombia. I think its abundantly clear that James and Lorenzo are going to prioritize James playing as much as possible with Colombia and its at the cost of his clubs, I'd rather have all parties on the same page and it clear to the club beforehand so they know and it sounds like that's what happening.

Didn't even make the bench. It sounds like same ol James, can't be surprised at this point but we need to accept this guy hates playing for club and absolutely loves Colombia, its really weird but we gotta accept it.

Well it's way too early to draw that conclusion I think. He just got there, I'm not worried at all that he won't play in the future. All I'm worried about is that he won't start this adventure with him fighting wit the coach.

At this point if the manager and club are angry it's on them, long history of James doing this. I'm not gonna imagine that it will change, he doesn't really care about club or he's got some kind of injury that doesn't let him play too many games continuously so he has to shut it down or shorten his season to stay healthy.

Man you guys are way overreacting

    he had a copa
Took vacation as he is known to and didn’t train
Showed up out of shape which Rayo likely knew as he was a last minute signing
Rayo deemed he isn’t ready yet
Let Colombia get him in shape

he will play 60 mins or so vs Peru and likely the whole match vs Argentina and then back in Spain

it’s the James cycle. No one is angry.

Maybe the coach. I would hate if the directors wanted James and
    not the coach.

You forgot he gave away a ball that tied up the game and changed the momentum. Whoops you mentioned it.

But hey, he was solid as I knew he would be for the most part. Only thing he really impressed me with was he played longer than I thought he could.
Hopefully he can get going at club level and really surprise me there cause that is where most of my criticism lies.
If he goes to Rayo and does not play, is always injured or just acts unprofessionally it is just not a good look.
