Honestly I think his last moment of making a mature decision that had such influence and made more sense was when he chose Everton; had he been able to stay under the Italian genius, there could have been something really nice seeing the two of them lift Everton up to a higher status and bring something interesting to the Premier league. Sadly only one season and he ironically goes back to Real Madrid may have been the final straw for James. Now I don't think he would make a mature decision anymore.

This dude has the worst decision making and timing for his career, spending years not playing either from injury or on the bench and comes into every season wanting to go somewhere else just playing ********ing video games and not getting it sorted.

James is a perfect example for the new generation of Colombian players to not lose your way or else.

Meh its better then Qatar league but they aren't even in champions league. This guys management and decision making is criminal, you wait until the window closes to make a desperation move? I think he just wants to be on his computer and chill, because if not the constant terrible decisions and approach to transfer windows has been about as bad as it gets. This guy was a top talent on the field and off the field carried huge financial clout honestly beyond his ability at this point in his career and they are dumpster diving last ditch transfers.

his professional career. The way it spiraled out of control downwards due to poor decisions and bad attitude

He is by far the most disappointing given the fact that he did all that you listed at a young age and then ended playing in Qatar at an age when he should have been in his prime

James has definitely been the most frustrating player to enjoy of the 2012-22 era of Colombian futbol.

Only because he brought so much positive energy between 2012-14…

2015-18 was a mixed bag bc of injuries and Real Madrid drama (or lack thereof)

18-22 was just a blur at this point.

It’s just sad that in 2014 James has all this fanfare going to Real Madrid while Toni kroos was an afterthought and now Toni Kroos is regarded as one of the best players of the past 10 years

    Reunion for those two.

I am honestly just hoping he can end his career with some dignity as his final years come; 2026 I think will be his last world cup cycle so he can play for 4 more years at this point.

Hard to imagine a much better career up until he fell out at Madrid after Ancelotti left, won a ton of stuff as a teenager with Porto, was the golden boy of the world cup and played really well at Madrid. From then his head got big and sure the injuries caused a lot of problems, but it just spiraled down from there. Since that fall out he had lots of chances to right the ship, Bayern for example but he just made bad decision after decision and here we are.

Olympiakos are atleast in Europa. Relative to Qatar this is a step in the right direction.

Hope he takes this seriously and turns his career around...

They are also a sure bet to win the Greek league. So it should be another trophy for him

You'd think so as they have a clear advantage in talent, but picking up mercenaries like James at the end of their career doesn't always work out on the field. They actually have some pretty good players in James positions, Pep Biel, Valbuena, Kostas Fortunas, Masouras. These guys have done pretty well in smaller leagues and Europa League so they don't really need James desperately or anything, seems an odd move for both club and player.

Seeing as they have won 18 of the league titles this century then I think it’s a safe bet. My bet is that they want a deep run in Europe.

so Keylor Navas is now also rumoured to sign for Olympiakos. I know they have a wealthy owner, same guy who owns Nottingham Forest
