    My gut tells me he plays today.
    Does not play in the CL or in the Clasico.
    But then gets lots of playing time against Betis and Eibar.

    (Then probably won't step on a pitch again until Venezuela and Chile.)

    And no surprise he is on the bench for Isco.

    Hopefully comes in for him some time though.

    Hasn't been subbed in yet and Real are down 1 goal at the 80th minute. I was not expecting this.

    James doesn't get off the bench, Madrid losing in the 80th minute away to Levante and the subs are:

    Hazard->Vincinius
    Isco->Vasquez
    and the nail in the coffin needing a goal late its

    Modric->Valverde

    Just reinforcing that James will only play if its last resort, even during weeks they want to rotate.

    Madrid lose, which in a weird way has to be somewhat satisfying for James. It sucks, this was the perfect game for him, Levante play very open and Madrid were playing with a Diamond in midfield with a 10. There isn't many better scenarios, UCL against City midweek and the clasico next weekend and Zidane still doesn't chose James. If he can take any more of this without losing his shit, forgot it, the guy is done as a top athlete.

    James has fallen from grace. Even with his contract ending this summer he stubbornly doesn't take charge to get him out of this.

    What if I told you his contract doesn't end until summer of 2021?

    Pretty sure he signed an extension before being loaned to Bayern.

    Lets be optimistic and say he will play on Wednesday.
    (Even though it seems very unlikely.)

    Unlikely? It's impossible unless the corona virus runs through the team.

    Wuhan is in Italy so it may not be a stretch to get to Spain by Wednesday.

    I'm not gonna assume that's true because people always willing to stir up controversy but if it is James is an arrogant idiot. You're a bench warmer, you're not guaranteed to be a starter, it's also not like the situation is all of a sudden he fell out of favor with the coach, you knew the deal dude and you happily stayed to watch games from the stands.

    Do I think James is probably a starter for us in most scenarios? Yes. But the guy is lost if this is true and at the worst time for his career when he should be at his absolute peak.

    I am just going to mentally prepare myself to see 3 strikers out there as long a CQ is manager.
    James and JuanFer probably won't be used much until Osorio takes over. :ROFLMAO:

    I’m still hoping for the day we use a “quadruple cinco.”

    That’s the white whale of futbol.

    The “triple cinco” we used against England was unicorn status.

    LOL and the 2 fullbacks are actually CB's in Tesillo and Medina too so it could be viewed as 4 CB's and 3 holding mids. this is actually still way better then the formation we used against England because at least the three strikers can run behind the lines to counter attack or hold up the ball.

    God its so annoying because we actually have a really, really good squad right now going into this cycle and we have a great mix of young guys who will improve and the next few years could really build towards something, but we need James and Quintero to do it or at least one at all times.
